Is there any kind of "ultimate" prize for finishing whole adventure or something like that? Because otherwise spending 700 gold for 3 packs feels kinda meh.
Because the meta is currently boring, I suggest you to buy the adventure as you can have fun and open packs at the same time. Golden Zayle and the golden pack are decent too.
To not stress about maximizing every ounce of gold and enjoy the game?
The point of the game is to have fun. If you have fun doing pve adventures, you should buy it. Is opening 4 packs more fun than a few hours of pve content?
The truth is the new adventure can get repetitive at best, you need to value both Zayle and the golden pack, which is on average 300 dust. If you are focused on ladder and the meta it's hard to recommend spending the extra 400 gold per wing just to play it, when Dungeon Run type adventures are in the game already for free.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I care about my collection because I need all the cards in case tournamnet meta is switching any moment, PVE content isn't important for me unless it gives any kind of "profit". So I think now I'd keep gathering money for next expansion instead of buying dalaran wings. Thanks for comments guys :)
It is worth if you pay real money...I would save the gold for the next expansion since you are getting somewhat bad deal. You could buy 28 packs for that price and with Dalaran heist you are getting 12 + golden pack + legendary I have never used. The gameplay itself is just rehashed previous dungeon run style content. Nothing really new so you are not missing anything important. I guess it comes down to how much you liked previous single player formats.
I find myself wondering if f2p players even enjoy Hearthstone at all. This constant concern about maximizing value instead of considering what will actually be enjoyable to play must be exhausting.
I get that it's hard to enjoy Ranked when you don't have any cards, but the tiny difference of a few more packs one way or the other simply won't make much of a difference in the long run.
In fact, if you're so stressed out about squeezing the most out of your gold for the sake of improving your PvP game, I think it might be good for you to distance yourself a bit and enjoy the adventure. Maybe even spend the 20 bucks so you can keep your precious gold.

There's already a thread about this. The OP of that thread did the analysis and determined that it is significantly better to buy the adventure with real money rather than gold.
That said, I am using gold to purchase it on my $5-to-pay account, since I've made a firm to decision to not spend more than $5. I want the card back, Zayle, and the golden pack so that my account is as "complete" as it can be. If you absolutely don't want to spend money, you should buy it with gold just to get the optional content.

Card back and a golden pack after you complete all the wings.
"A bargain forged in blood and shadow"
What is golden pack? The one with all 5 golden cards as it was before for some event?
So basically it's still better to just buy 7 packs instead of buying each wing?

Depends if you want the pve experience or if you want to focus on your collection.
If bought it and im having more fun with it than laddering and making decks at the moment but the buffs might change that.
It's a lot of fun. If you play for fun, it's more than worth it. If you treat Hearthstone like a business, then it's definitely not.
