I complete heroic (both dalaran's bank and violet hold) with all 3 heroes. Is not as hard as some Heroic classic adventures, but still, i'd say it's quite fun.
Also, i'd like to post the deck i used to complete Heroic Violet Hold with the shaman snake. I thought it would have been a disaster, turns out it was the best aggro deck ever: Emerald Goggles, Primalfin totem always starting in my hand, Elixir of Vim (kind of risky, but the other treasures were garbage...never reached fatigue tho), double horb of untold
I dunno, I still haven't beaten the heroics. For me, that gradual difficulty curve isn't there. First 4 bosses, no problem, then I get hit with that boss with permanent Choose Both, that one with permanent -2 Attack into huge resurrects, or that one which has the handbuff every turn. I'm just using mage with original hero power since the other two are awful. I haven't been able to get my usual Scepter of Summoning cheese deck, so I'll have to aim for that.
Me too, had no issue whatsoever with first 4 heroic bosses, then met Choose Both guy on 5th encounter and things started to become somewhat challenging.
But only until I managed to cast Banana Split on Rotten Applebaum. From there, Tauren Druid boss had no chances. Try that if you have the occasion.
Luck dependant. On my first try I got paired with the Carousel which played a 1/1 minion which he gave me (especially good with 1/1 that summons 5/5 or 6/6) and took my minion and it felt like I could nothing to do with him.
The Robes of Gaudiness as mentioned are just bonkers. I got those with the Dragonfire(?) Ring, 9 cost, discover a legendary minion and summon 5 copies of it... then just picked every single high cost selection of cards I could find and steamrolled the Violet Hold, it was ridiculous.
Have done heroic runs 4 times now and won 3 times, lost once. The left-hand card reduced by 2 is a really good artifact, as is the 4 mana 4/5 give you 3 cards that cost 0. Also make sure to use the Tavern to tailor your deck as much as possible.
Still really enjoying it though... I just wish wish WISH that Blizzard would add more achievements to these things. Once I've unlocked everything and beaten heroic with each hero, there'll be nothing more to do.
I have finished every level with every hero in both normal and heroic. I think I died a couple of times in total.
I think that the problem here is the potential to CRAZY snowball. Example: I got the spell that transforms every minion into a legendary one and can be spelled as many times as you want. I reduced its cost to 0. I got it in the opening hand. I played it infinite times on my 3 minions on turn 3 until I got OP minions. No heroic boss can handle that in turn 3!
I still remember the old adventures where heroic was so difficult that it wasn't even fun to play.
Yes, it is way too easy. But its mainly due to the fact that the dice are op and I think the main problem isn't difficulty but the lack of strategy/synergy. It feels like regardless of the class u play u just pick legendary and generic good cards and if you get the dice you roll all the bosses and if you don't u might loose but all the bosses up until the one that out values you will win easily so u lose but its still boring.
They need to bring back teammates (op minions) and stay away from giving the player op abilities that are always active. Attach those abilities to a minion, a spell or a shrine otherwise the gameplay, even if it was harder, would be screwed up.
I just went back to try heroic Dalaran Heist out. It felt like the AI was somehow cheating. I don't mind a challenge, but it was over-the-top. For example, while playing as mage I selected the (1) reduce cost of random card in hand by (2) ability. Anomaly mode enabled was both players start with (2) extra cards and mana crystals. After first boss I get the ability to use my hero twice per turn and reduce cost by (1). With that, I was walking over bosses pretty well. The challenge was using up my cards too quickly because they were so easy to drop. That said, it wasn't really that much of a risk. Enter boss 7. AI has the power to pull a card from deck, give it +4/+4 and put it on top of draw. I was dropping legendaries with 7/8 health and other small minions. His cards in hand were always perfect neutralizers. If AI devolved an 8 mana card, I'd always get that 2/1 guy that summons annoy-o-trons. Bad luck you say? Maybe....but it happened several times. I pop down a fella and enhance him with the all-buffs treasure I got along the way, AI plucks down the 4/2 hunter leggo that destroys minions when they take damage. My guy has stealth and divine shield...AI plays two shaman portals that deal 1dmg to all enemies and summon (1) cost minis. It was crazy. Given my mana headstart with legendary board control this should have been a doable challenge. In the end, it wasn't even close. I never even approached temporarily having the upperhand after turn 2. Was able to stave off the end for about 6 more turns, but there was never a chance to be had.

The last two bosses actually literally cheat, by having more starting mana, highly tuned decks, absurdly strong hero powers, etc.
With all the perks you pick up along the way, they have to cheat, or it would be way too easy to steamroll them every time.
Unfortunately, that means you will sometimes get a match-up that is flat-out unwinnable for the deck you've built. The good news is, sometimes the boss will have no chance against the crazy combos you've put together. And sometimes it's a surprisingly even fight.

Normal mode is definitely easy.
Heroic is not really hard, but challenging enough.
Afterall, PvE is best developed as a relaxing mode. If PvE gets people stressed or tilted as much as PvP, then it's just pointless...

never even had the robe offered to me once in all the games I played finishing normal and heroic unlocking all heroes abilities.
Looking forward to next week :)

Was using Basic Mage deck and hero power, BTW.

My expectation is that it will get harder, that’s how the older solo content worked

Heroic is very unfair at times.
