a couple of minutes ago I tried to complete the KoFT adventure with the only class I'm still missing, Druid. For the occasion, I used a token deck filled with big taunts in order to survive a few hits and be able to buff my wisps and treants.
Long short story, I survived turn 7 Frostmourne like nothing but surprise, in that game Arthas played not one, not two (as I read in the past on this forum), not three but FOUR flipping weapons. I guess it was a bit too much for me and my low health minions to survive.
Now, I don't want this to become a salt thread: I only want to know if this is a special treatment reserved to the Druid class, if the number of my minions on the board triggers a certain system that makes Arthas play again a Frostmourne or anything else.
PS: I notice this strange aspect during the match: after the first time, every time he played Frostmourne he had zero minions on the board, but each time I managed to break it, he summoned a taunt out of nowhere (which was the only minion present on the board before the first activation). This last aspect in particular led me to think about some kind of minor bug, but maybe I am just unlucky with RNG or I don't know what.
Thanks to everyone for your time and for your opinions
I could swear he kept on playing Frostmournes until you killed all his minions. That is, if you destroyed it, he would keep playing it indefinitely.
Based on my experience, he can only play it once a game; if he can do it countless times, it should be unfair, as you can't damage him untile there are his 2/6 in the board and if he keeps summoning them he's pratically immortal
He only summon the board of 2/6 one time. As long as they are on the board, he is immune and has his weapon. Besides this, he never plays a weapon. I'd like to see screenshots or a replay to see what exactly happened. From the OP I can't really tell what was played and in which sequence it was played. Might be that if you destroy his weapon with an ooze, he resummons his minions because he re-equippes frostmourne. But when you kill his minions, everything should proceed as usual

No, I guess I wasn't very explicit.
He keeps replaying Frostmourne if you destroy it while he is in the 2/6 board phase. After that phase this no longer happens. As long as he has the 2/6's on board, he will keep replaying Frostmourne no matter how many times you destroy it.
In this phase the only thing he does is attack with his minions and Frostmourne, he plays no other cards, just floats mana. If the Frostmourne gets destroyed, he uses mana to play it again.
No, that is wrong. I just tested it and he doesn't replay Frostmourne, you simply cannot destroy it. harrison draws three cards, but the weapon stays in his hand (pic enclosed after playing harrison while drawing). And the board state is absolutely not influenced by it.
I actually have no clue what happened to OP. It sounds weird, but I am not sure whether that is because the description of it is weird or whether the thing that happened is weird.
Edit: To answer the last question in OP, after Frostmourne is destroyed (by killing all his 2/6 minions), he resummons the board he had before the Frostmourne turn.

Or that, nevermind my mistake. The weapon is immune and doesn't get destroyed. Not until all minions are killed, which automatically destroys it.
Strange that the OP is stating that Lich King replayed the weapon after the board was cleared, I don't think that can happen. Would like to see some showcase of what happened.
Unfortunately, I thought only after the game that I could collect some proofs to validate what I'm saying, but you can trust me I wouldn't create such a thread without a reason.
What you all are saying equals to my convictions in the mechanics of this match (Frostmourne played on turn 7 only once, indestructible, fills board with minions and disappears only after you destroy all of them) and that's what made me think that the game got a loop-like bug
While I have never faced multiple Frostmournes in a single battle against the Lich King, there is the following video evidence of back to back Frostmournes being played here.
First Frostmournes gets played at 24:26, second gets played at 25:13, right after the first is destroyed.
I might try and see if the same thing happens if I Dragon's Fury the boards the turn right after they are played, with no interval. Might be something programmed for when the board is created right away the following turn.
I've killed his board with mossy horror immediately and did not have this effect.
Druid is the class I did it with on release and did other classes later. I do kind of remember druid fight being different but don't know if it was multiple frostmournes, I doubt that tbh.
Try it with murlocs if you want to do it fast.
You can't use murlocs for Druid. The Lich King destroys low cost minions if I remember correctly.
OP: Did you face the multiple Frostmourne problem multiple times? Seems like a very rare occurrence, you might not face it if you try again.

Yes, more than one time: if I'm exact, it happened to me three times out of a considerable number of tries. Once with warrior (2 Frostmournes) but since I had no problem in overcoming that obstacle I let it slide; twice with druid (4 Frostmournes one time and some tries later 2). It's quite a rare situation, so I thought it was caused by some kind of ridiculous RNG, until I faced it 4 times in a row.
I'm sure that if I try again I'll hardly find the same problem but, given the circumstances, I thought it was worth to point it out to the community
Ah yes true, I did it with jades with druid but now you'd probably have to craft those if you want to go that way.
You don't need to craft Jades, yesterday before I did it with Jades to fatigue his deck, I did it with Burn Malygos with extreme ease. Just put down 4 Malygos and a few burns spells and he is dead.
Either way, this whole thing is so strange. I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems there is no trigger for this to happen, and there is no reliable way to make it happen consistently, I haven't managed to trigger it. It just seems like you are getting very unlucky.
The most odd part is, if it were part of his deck, to have multiple Frostmournes, I believe I would have seen it when I fatigued him as Jades, aside from him holding it as the last card for some ungodly reason, it is just nonsensical. And I'm pretty sure his last card was the Looming Presence or whatever it's called, that Draw 3 gain 6 armour one, since he only used 1 during the game.
You're right indeed. Frostmourne ins't part of his deck: the game just adds it to his hand at turn 7 no matter what or how many cards he has in his hand. I can say that for sure because in the past I tried to mill him for fun and the result was always the same (10 cards in hand before turn 7, plays Frostmourne and still has 10 cards)

Arthas shouldn't have more than 1 frostmoore, at least as i remember
That's what I also thought, or at least what the other matches against him brought me to think
Try to send a ticket to the blizzard's support, its kinda a weird bug.
I tried, but I really don't want to give them a copy of my identity card: is there another way?
