I only started playing HS last year, but bought all the content. I'm currently working my way through heroic LOE and I just cannot beat Scarvash! I have tried every deck and recommendation I can find, a lot of the decks have wild cards that I cannot afford, those I have tried havent made a dent. trying to kill his two starters with doomsayer has never worked for me, he either drops a third or confuse and I'm stuffed.
Anyone have a great idea for beating him? preferably with a minimum of wild cards
Hey man, this is a very hard boss. But I find a way to defeat him by using Animated Armor.
Basically make a deck with good removals and healing, and mullingan hard for animated armor, Scarvash ignores your minions and goes directly for face and this is gonna kill him. He don't realize that animated armor turns the damage in just 1 point got it? I've beat him and some heroic bosses with this strategy. I don't have deck codes for beat him, but this is a very good way to try.
I made this deck a while ago, and updated it with some Witchwood cards. It's F2P friendly, the only legendary is Reno. Give it a try. You can win with it without Doomsayer on turn 2.

Sorry for my bad english i'm a brazilian guy.
That strategy doesn't work anymore, they updated the AI.
Scarvash is RNG hell. It may take you months and months of many hours a day. I'm several thousand attempts in and no end in sight.
It's a fight designed to make you to spend $1000+ on cards to have any chance at all.
Did you see the sample decklist posted? It's a fairly inexpensive Reno deck, which is meta. It just takes extreme luck and precise deckbuilding, not stacking legendaries.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.

That is a 6000 dust deck with many wild cards. It would cost me over $300 to make it and then I'd still have to fight against RNG for days. Then the deck would be deleted and I'd find out which $300+ deck I'd have to make for the next fight.
The problem with RNG only solo content is that you don't get any closer no matter how much you play it:
No gold earned.
No cards earned.
No dust earned.
Any skill you gain is dwarfed by the massive RNG required.

No fun after the first 2 tries.
It's a PAY WALL. Period.
To be fair, this is heroic. They said multiple times heroic is not for free to play players, it's for those with large collections who want a challenge. The normal fight can be beaten fairly easily if you want the normal adventure rewards. their old philosophy was that normal fights should be done by everyone so players can easily get the cards they payed gold for, while heroic was where the real challenge is. Now, not all bosses are fair or correct, some are almost unfair, like the boss in blackrock than makes you only have 1 or 2 max mana.
Look at the new solo content they made though, they clearly gave up on the huge difficulty difference between the 2 modes (they eliminated the 2 difficulty modes entirely actually), they pushed replayability a lot and they made it so you don't play with your actual cards anymore, but you build decks as you go.

Well it seems we agree. I gave up on heroic a long time ago because I didn't have the collection for it. Now that I've acquired more cards, I've gone back to give them a second look. I still have a sparse collection as a percentage, but we all have more stuff in general now from the new expansions.
I recently managed to completely kill the Lich King with all classes and wrap up Naxx and BRM Heroic, so I've moved on to LoE but Scarvash is a new level of BS that has clearly got me quite frustrated.
There is certainly no replayability with this level of RNG! I think the new RoS solo content will be in the style of these first few expansions, so we'll see how that goes.
This was actually the last heroic I was able to complete including Karazhan After trying many top-rated decks that commonly fail, an improved iteration Aggro Hunter pulled through for me

Exodia Mage works, but took me like 10-15 tries.
Oops, Scarvash, sorry Exodia doesn't work there lol.

Success! I finally managed it with a Reno Warrior deck of my own creation. Brawl on 5, Reno on 6 and Dr. Boom on 7.
