I'm also a FTP player. I reccomend Murloc Paladin (As long as you have Rockpool Hunter, Murloc Tidecaller, and Murloc Warleader), Murloc Rogue, and even Murloc Shaman.
So far most of the classes have gone okay for me (8/9). Other than Shaman. Trying a Bloodlust Jade list right now like what's on the front page and boy is it hard to keep a board under any circumstances. Especially when it seems like Blizzard gets drawn within the first ten cards 95% of the time. Twice.
Edit: I feel like I'm going insane now. So far he's topdecked (as in drawn and played the rightmost card) Blizzard no less than 5 times the turn before I deal otherwise unstoppable lethal damage. I've been in that position a total of five times so far and have gotten totally wrecked every time. Gotta say, there's hard bosses, then there's frustratingly unfun. This feels like the latter.
Further Edit: Mrrrgl Mrrgl, Lich King. 6 turns, 60 damage. Had the hardest time with Shaman. For those struggling with Warrior, I had a really easy time with a Patron variant running Dead Man's Hand
My winning lineup: Reno Elemage, Reno Demonlock, Silence Priest, Exodia Paladin, Murloc Shaman, Dead Man's Patron Warrior, DK Hunter, Jade Druid, Keleseth N'zoth Rogue (basically the list up on the front page)
Hunter: Got lucky with an activated Cat Trick that survived and turn 4 barnes -> y'shaarj that clocked him for 14 for 3 turns. Other than that, the fact that he can put you on low health doesn't matter at all if you're trying to kill him before turn 7 because he doesn't play a whole lot before that, he can't burn you down in any way if you have some removal for his early game. You can even set it up to have 2 molten giants on board turn 1. If you don't have those, I'd try just standard mid hunter with less minions, try to get lucky with hyena -> razormaw -> windfury or just good ole flappy bird will work.
Mage: Cheesed it with Mechwarper into double unchecked Micro Machine and some other mechs. As with hunter, you being at 1 hp doesn't matter that much if you put in some removal spells and rush him down before turn 7. Molten giant strategy should work great but I don't have them so couldn't check.
Paladin: Regular murloc pally works, just cut out anything costing more than 4 mana, put in some Primalfin Lookout (for more warleaders), Vicious Fledgling, rush him down before frostmourne. No need for vilefin inquisitor and gentle megasaur, I've won without drawing those but megasaur helps of course. Warleader, however, is pretty necessary. If you don't have a good aggro pally deck, may god have mercy on your soul.
Dropped him like a sack of potatoes. 31/5 Red Mana Wyrm, 11/8 taunted Daring Reporter, 10/10 Jade Golem, and 46 health at one point. Did it with a standard deck, GTI's MIRACLE.
I used a Inner Fire Priest variant with llots of spells to cycle through my deck, Lyra and two Deathlords; after a few tries, i figured, that it would be the best to start with the combo around Turn 6/7, even he drops the Black Knight, I had enough ressources left.
managed to beat him with priest, warrior, mage and druid so far, need help on the others like warlock (i dont have Reno)
You don't need him use other heal cards instead and use doomsayer when he has 6 mana he will alywase play his sowrd and use mountain giant and the 4 1 1 taunt that copey the stats
Most aren't even worth mentioning because they are so easy...The only matches that are actually difficult to a decent degree is Paladin and Warrior match up...
There are so many things about this fight that feel like such a punch to the gut..
The fact that Druid is given arguably the easiest challenge of them all.. The perfectly timed Obliterates.. The perfectly timed Blizzards..
Then the extreme difficulty spikes with no warning for certain classes. Mage/Hunter/Warrior seem to have gotten it the worst. The deck building restrictions don't make the fight more fun.. Instead it only leaves you with such a niche handful of options that you're almost forced into crafting legendaries JUST for this fight.. boo.

Good.....It's nice when everything ain't a brainless handout for once.
I hate this more than I've done anything before. only beaten him with priest - because Duh - and can't so far do it with any other class. I was close the first time around with a Jade druid, but died because of his scaling damage power. one more turn, and he would've died.
I really, reeeeeeeally hate how I can't even use any good decklist. I have so few legendaries since I'm a F2P player, and I spent all the dust I was saving up for Rotface so I could have a chance at this with some other classes, which I now still does not.
I already got him.. hardest one was mage till i found out that you just have to play counterspell on turn one lmao
That's pretty cool didn't even think about that and did it the hard way. It wasn't as hard as they hyped it up to be tbh. I had to retry a few of the matches (restarting the mulligan when it was impossible to win with that hand) and it was pretty easy overall.
To all others who may be interested, certain classes can do very well by running a lot of Murlocs (used them for Paladin, Rogue and Warlock). Needless to say just go face as the AI will sometimes completely ignore your board and by turn 6 you need to have won with that strategy or hope he has no Blizzard. In matchups where you lose a lot of Health at the start and you want to play aggressively Molten Giants are pretty good as well so don't forget to add them if your list has synergy with them. I am sure there is more advice for the matches in general, but I am just giving a few tips off the top of my head here.
I JUst started a thread about it 8/9 down plz help me get it done

I'm done, half of my wins were with murlocs hahaha, even priest :D

Had to go to sleep after that.

8 out of 9, only Warrior left. Easier than people say and very straightforward.
Dead but dreaming
This is my druid deck to beat the lich king
Shhhh it's a secret.
Urgh finally done after 8 hours of mulliganing [kabal lackey+counter spell] and going for OTK fireballs
Other classes are really manageable. You can finish them with murloc decks except for
druid(go jade)
warrior (kelthuzad scaled nightmare exploit)
hunter (barnes+y'sharjj)
they key is to use doomsayer at turn 7 except for murloc decks. murloc decks normally end in turn 6 or turn 5
Just a simple poll (:
I removed him 20 armors.
Oh, we're the best buds. =)
Gorge you hatred, embrace your rage.
we were very close back in high school, we lost touch after he joined paladin school
