on my own opinion, i think you are so wrong, i can see it used with that 7/7 that cant attack unless its alone and in every nzoth priest deck already. there is probably a ton more to do with it too like that 2/8 that put a creature from opponent deck into play but im not seeing this lately, gonna assume without checking that its not in standard anymore for this one
If you don't play hunter you can probably skip this one. but they made it so that if you want to play hunter at all you must buy yourself into wing 3 for Kindly Grandmother (don't know where the Huntress and the secret will be yet). Seems like a good business plan to me.
Edit: to be fair there's probably going to be a beast druid deck and Firelands Portal will see play, maybe Moonglade Portal too. Overall the adventure really sucks tho.
We don't want this game to turn into a turn 4 GG fest, based on the mulligan.
But that is exactly what the game is like ATM. You play warrior and play Fiery Win Axe, Alexstrasza's Champion, FrothingBeserker => GG, you play Tunnel Trog, Totem Golem, Coin + Tuskar, 7/7 => instant GG, you play Flame Imp, Dark Peddler, Darkshire Councilman => GG. Every competitive deck is aggro and decides on the drawing luck in the first 5 turns. Ladder has become more or less coin flipping.
And somehow half of the classes are gone. I played 20 games today … I have seen 1 mage, 1 rogue, 1 druid, 2 zoolock … the rest were 10 Dragon Warrior and 5 Aggro/Midrange Shaman. That are 6 classes out of 9. The longest game ran to turn 15.
That is IMHO just not fun. And instead of giving us a neutral heal card (what people are asking for since healbot rotated out) or a replacement for Deathlord we get even more aggro tools like the warlock 3/3
-I can play new decks now and have cards that might be essential for competitive decks during future expansions.
-The adventure itself is a little fun and it's something new to play.
-I'm supporting a game that I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from for a long time.
I am disappointed compared to LoE's impact but Moat Lurker, the portals, and beast druid show promise. Also, new hybrid support for weird theme decks and control decks could become important later on. Deathrattle Hunter and all Druid decks will be amazing and Mage's support seems cool. I feel like people choosing not to buy this adventure just to prove a point won't accomplish much and possibly cave in anyways. I feel like the complaints won't go unnoticed by the time the next pack releases, but there's a lot of flaws with the game that need to be addressed yet it seems for every solution there's 2 more problems. It sounds dumb, but priest is the only deck that doesn't have an aggro option. Priest control cards are so lackluster that you're dead by the time you start removing threats and you can't counter a Worgen OTK at 30 health. I know it's rock, paper, scissors with this game but priest shouldn't ALWAYS lose to aggro, and get OTK'd at full health, and lose to other control decks because they sacrificed late game for too many useless cards. A midrange priest shouldn't be too much to ask for, maybe class specific taunts, cheaper removal, and silences that aren't trash to handle aggro shaman, warrior, and hunter but still have a weakness to decks like mage's and control warrior.
I see a lot of potential for new decks to rise up in this expansion TBH. Enchanted Raven and that other 6-drop whose name I can't remember are awesome for Beast Druid, Moonglade Portal is awesome for Mill Druid, Yogg Shaman might become a thing with all the new Shaman cards, Priest of the Feast is great for Yogg Shaman, Purify is great for Wall Priest (really underrated Priest deck), Yogg n' Load Hunter got a really good 3 drop, Dragon Paladin also got a really good 3 drop, and am I the only one who thinks Deadly Fork is a good card for N'zoth Rogue?
I mean, it's not like I think anyone is gonna appreciate the potential of these cards but me due to the fact that today's Hearthstone community is infected by bigheaded meta-worshipping simpletons, but I thought this would be worth posting.
All these crucification of "netdecking" (sorry-the-best-decks-have-already-been-discovered), while claiming people to be "condescending," is kinda autorrefutable... rofl
I will buy it because tempo mage will become a thing, but not many decks will be empowered.
Just for playing the adventure it's fun. Buy at least the first wing, when you do like that, you can unlock the rest of the adventure later, if not you won't be able to play the adventure when it goes out the standard (removed forever).
I believe the main reason, if not the only reason to buy the expansion is because of Cloaked Huntress and that druid 6-drop that summons a copy of a friendly beast. Enchanted raven might be good too but everyone gets it for free.
I'm going to wait because chances are none of these cards will affect the meta drastically. Some have potential, but none are definite to be good competitive cards which aren't worth 2800 of my gold if all the cards are going to be useless. If Barnes and some other cards end up being good and playable then I'll get it, if not then I won't.
So what you guys think, is this adventure is good enough to buy (for real money ofc). For me it brings average cards with tons RNG effects. Do you guys think this cards hardly affect the meta?
This post is for money savers, if you like adventures this is good one to get, but as for the cards themselfs it doesn't feel as exciting, rather it feels boring not meta changing forgive me for saying that, people who defends this thing.
id wait for the next expansion or complete the current set priest won't make a come back for a while yet for those who believe in blizz even today I wish you the best
Karaazhan(with POTENTIAL, can't say a card will see play when it's not even in the game)- Moonglade Portal (very hard to say it seems bad but healing is very weak in druid so could make it in if there is space for it), Menagerie Warden and Enchanted Raven [/card](maybe if a beast druid works but don't bank on it), [card]Kindly Grandmother (probably in midrange hunter if the meta is slow), Nightbane templar (ONLY if dragon paladin is a thing), Fool's Bane, The Curator (maybe), Barnes (probably), Moat Lurker (maybe to slow but has potential in some n'zoth decks), Netherspite Historian (pretty good chance), and Book Wyrm (also needs probably a dragon paladin deck to work out) Edit: and Medivh, the Guardian12 cards with POTENTIAL, they will definitely not all see play, chances are most won't see play....
TLDR definitely think that Naxx had way more playable cards compared to Karazhan, and in my opinion, people should wait before getting it to see how many cards actually see play, probably will be much less than Naxx
babbling book is just bad why would u want a random spell when you could just put a good sell into your deck? (1/1 body isn't worth anyway, and the chance to get say another fireball or something is very small)
If your going by pure dust value, or number of cards, these new adventures are actually much better than the old adventures.
Naxx and BRM were minimum $25 (3500 gold) for 31 cards, including 5 (and a half) legends. LoE and Kara are minimum $20 for 45 cards, but still including 5 legends.
I'm gonna buy the expansion, I'm going to enjoy playing through the solo content, and then I'll have fun experimenting with the new cards. Are there cards in the set I'm disappointed by? Yes. But are there also cards I'm excited for? Absolutely. Just because there are some lackluster cards in a set that doesn't mean I don't see enough value to get the adventure. Value for me isn't purely based on how competitively viable every single relased card is.
If your favorite class is Priest then the answer is obviously no. You can well afford to save the requisite 2800 gold to buy it without cash.
There's no hurry. Purify isn't going anywhere.

I'm getting it mostly for the cardback... that thing is awesome

I feel like it's worth it for a few reasons:
-I can afford to purchase it.
-I can play new decks now and have cards that might be essential for competitive decks during future expansions.
-The adventure itself is a little fun and it's something new to play.

I'm just gonna buy it for the adventure itself don't really care about the cards

agreed, there are some cards with POTENTIAl, but must won't see play and even those that may have a good chance of not seeing play.
