What are your current impressions from the adventure based on the cards revealed? I know not all cards have been revealed, this thread is just for discussing current thoughts.
Also super excited to see how the Portal spells turn out. Firelands Portal is a bit dull, to be honest. Hopefully the other four will be better.
The legendaries seem super toned down. They're certainly not LoE-Quality in terms of style nor play-ability. The Curator and Barnes seem interesting, but I think only specific decks can run them, these decks will certainly need to be adjusted heavily to make room for these cards. So, not sure if they'll be too widespread. Moroes is quite possibly the most disappointing card in the adventure thus far. Some token decks may run him, but overall not a fan of this card at all.
All in all, I think the cards need to turn it up a notch. There's nothing too good just yet, and considering 3 of the 4 legends have already been revealed, I don't think this adventure will have legendaries to remember. What're your thoughts?
they push a reno paladin deck too much from the cards ive seen. paladin can use the curator cause they can play murlocs, beasts and dragons. also the paladin chess minion is practically a healbot exclusive to paladin. i think paladin will be tier 1 again after karazhan. also dragon decks which are already very strong will be stronger with the new 3/6 dragon. i think the game will change a lot even if they released only those 11 revealed cards now the meta would change significantly. also the 1 mana 1/1 get a spell mage minion is very good pretty much a staple to mage decks and considering only zoo and shaman usually have a turn 1 play only this will change the game, i know 1/1 is not a huge threat but with ping it can kill a 2 drop. i like the cards in general and the fact they are paying attention to new synergies. IF paladin gets some decent early game too im afraid he will become too strong as a reno variant especially
also i can see a discard zoo type of warlock soon be viable. its obvious they are pushing it since the grand tournament. the 1/3 demon that draws when you discard reminds me of tunnel trogg when it first revealed. a 1/3 with a powerful effect can create archtypes.
Since I don't really care about the PvP aspect of game (as is I do not prioritize running Tier-1 decks and ending super high every season) I like it so far. You take a cool raid and add a nice touch to it to create more "story". Cards so far have been really well themed for this adventure. Babbling Book (although I liked Raving Grimoire more) and Barnes are my absolute favorites so far. Really nice design on both of them.
Even though its kind of early to make assumptions about the whole adventure I feel with what we've seen so far the adventure will be good. A lot of cards from the handful they have shown so far look like they will see some play. That being said most of the cards will just slide into existing decks and the only card I see making a new deck or improving upon decks we hardly see is Barnes.
Every card we've seen so far has some level of playability. Even Moroes, arguably the weakest card we've seen so far has a lot of synergestic potential and could see play in some deck at some point in the future.
I know that "it's too early too tell" is the default answer, but I honestly think that most cards released so far can only be evaluated after they have been played with. I'll give my opinion on the cards I'm looking forward to play with the most so far.
Malchezaar's Imp seems quite interesting and I'm really excited to see if it turns out to be viable. Zoo doesn't run many discard cards, but they might be enough to warrant 1 copy of it in the deck. There's also the possibility that we get more discard synergy in the expansion.
The Curator has a super cool mechanic and I really hope it makes Reno decks better, since I love those.
Moroes is utterly disappointing like many have said, even if it turns out to be viable, it's still a very plain effect for a legendary as cool as him.
Overall I'm not as pleased with Karazhan as I was with LoE, maybe because LoE set the bar extremely high. I really hope they can beat that! The theme seems interesting, but the cards not so much, whereas LoE had an interesting theme AND very very interesting cards.
Overall I'm not really disappointed with this expansion. All the cards (even moroes) seem pretty solid in that they'll all probably see some play. I personally am excited to try Barnes in my Nzoth shaman deck. I am a bit bummed that none of the cards seem crazy or LOE levl, but I'm holding out for the rest of the legendaries (I hope netherspite is the last one, based on his boss match I bet he's really interesting). I'm also kind of excited for the portals, though I wasn't all that impressed by the firelands one (the animation was gorgeous though). Overall I don't think we've seen enough to make a judgement.
I will value this expansion based on how much it helps priest out of the ditch.
I wouldn't get your hopes too high, to be honest. The 3 cards can be really, really good but even then, they're just 3 cards. Priest won't be really good till the December expansion.
The Curator and Barnes seem interesting, but I think only specific decks can run them, these decks will certainly need to be adjusted heavily to make room for these cards.
But isn't decks getting adjusted a good thing? That's probably what excites me the most so far. LoE legendaries are memorable because of how deck-defining they are. The fact that Barnes might make it into a whole new combo-ish or N'zoth control deck is a good prospect alone. Hope to see some new things emerge as a result of Kara.

I personally think they're going out of their way to add more early game. With Malchezaar's Imp, Enchanted Raven, Babbling Book and Kindly Grandmother, there's just so much early game, and I think we'll be seeing more of this.

I love Karazhan. I love how they turned it into a disco party. That's enough for me. Already one of my favorite expansions.

They're pretty boring....

The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles

I recall reading somewhere (front page maybe?) that we're getting 7 legendaries.

Haven't seen priest cards yet. Is there something so amazing they don't want to reveal yet or are we all waiting for nothing?
7 mana wizard portal sucks btw! :)
Everything is OP.

7 legendaries would make sense... 45 cards is actually a record for the adventures no?
I will value this expansion based on how much it helps priest out of the ditch.
No , LoE has 45 cards including 5 legendaries.
Take a look at my card creations here in vojza's mini expansion topic.
