this thread is for fun and it is my opinion on the next expansion which would be an adventure and what we could possibility see in the future :)
As we know we are getting ever closer to the next adventure for hearthstone. Nearly 2 months ago we got WOTOGS which answered alot of issues that affected alot of the classes (it bought shamans back from the dead!) and it was a pretty amazing expansion. along with this standard mode has rolled in. now the real question is WHAT NEXT HEARTHSTONE????? so i am going to give my opinion and ideas on what each class needs and still lacks/ does not have and what themes we might see :)
what each class needs( but might get in the next expansion):
Druid:
got in last expansion: C'thun cards, beast cards, choose one cards
What i would like to see in next adventure:
1: more beast cards! druid Has so much potential with beasts, but have to use late game beasts from neutral cards. i would like to see a beast card around 5-6 mana for druid. with not many 5-6 mana minions in their class, druid could use another 5-6 mana minion and i would be great if it was a beast!
2: choose one cards. yes, druid has alot, but these cards are amazing! would love to see some more in the next expansion!
3: a 5-6 mana minion! with only 2 in standard i think it would be nice for a decent minion around this mana.
4: deathrattle? This is just an idea, but maybe another deathrattle minion would benefit the class. with already having Mounted Raptor it would be interesting to see another deathratte beast in standard mode for this class.
hunter:
Got in last expansion: Beasts, deathrattles
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: Heals and taunts! this class lacks heals and taunts, as it is seen as an aggro class. i would live to see some Taunts with beast synergy in standard. maybe a heal card could be cool? A heal for hunter could open up the class for control. just some ideas.
2: weapons: a hunter should have more tools to hunt right? with only two weapons in standard, it would be nice to see a new weapon that would "battlecry: give a random friendly beast +2/+2" or "deathrattle: summon a 1/1 hound" or something! these are just ideas, but new weapon would be nice!
3: carrying on with deathrattles and beasts. this class is a perfect deathrattle and beast machine!, but some more defensive beasts could be nice to see in the future :) (heals and taunts)
Mage:
what they got in last expansion: many powerful spells (Cabalist's Tome), board clears, c'thun synergy , strong board minions (Faceless Summoner)
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: spell damage! some more synergy with spell damage would be nice! new decks would be made if there was a card which gained +3/+3 if you control a spell damage minion, or a minion that gains spell damage for each card in your hand. for a class that has mostly spells, it would be pretty awesome to see what they could do with a strong spell damage minion or cards that linked to spell damage.
2: heals spell/ more Armour spells? this is not warrior, but with Ice Barrier and Ice Block being this classes only chance for defense, it would Amazing to have a control/ defensive card to live a bit longer in a game.
3: freezing minions: a smaller costing minion that freezes things? yes we had Snowchugger, but now we are in standard a bigger or smaller minion that can freeze things would be nice! maybe 1 mana minion? or a 7 mana minion for the class? what now a 1/2 or 2/1 minion that can freeze things??!! it would be nice and open freezing decks up for the class to try more of!
Paladin
what it got in the last expansion: murloc, heals, divine shields
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: deathrattles! yes! it is true, N'Zoth paladin in a great deck and another deathrattle would not go a miss! a 2 mana deathrattle would be good as paladin only has one 2-drop in standard and another 2 drop would be much needed as paladins, we relie alot on using 2 drops from neutral set (which is fine), but another 2 drop would work well i think! And of coarse a lower cost deathrattle for the class!
2:taunt: apart for Tirion this class has no other taunts in standard!
3: divine shield: this is what i am talking about! i would love another divine shield minion for this class or even a spell that has synergy! i love this new theme with paladins, but i think we need some more cards that can help in making this a thing :)
4: murlocs: maybe a 5/4 murloc for mana with divine shield? just a better murloc, plz with a class with so much synergy, it only has 2 class murlocs, and 1 of them is only a 1/3!
Priest:
what it got in the last expansion: Heals, buffs, 4 drop, c'thun cards
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: 3 and 2 drops! this class has only one 3 drop in standard and it is an epic! a common 3 drop or even a rare that is descent would be Awesome! a 3/4 or 4/3 would be great!
2: Another class dragon? this class has already make dragon decks a thing! why not introduce a 3 drop dragon or a 6 drop dragon or another dragon all together?
Rogue
what it got in the last expansion: combo, removal, draw and c'thun card
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: more combo cards! We have not got alot of new combo cards in the last 2 expansion and i think it is about time we should get a new one :)
2; 6 mana minion? i might be missing something, but rogue only has two 6 mana cards and both only see a small amount of play (Kidnapper and Thistle Tea) how about a strong combo 6 drop or a deathrattle 6 drop or a good stated 6 drop? plz blizzard
3; more deathrattle cards: yes got to say i love these deathrattle cards! need them XD more would be Great!
4: coin cards? with already coin giving cards in this class, why not add some more? they seem to work like a charm!
Shamans:
what it got in the last expansion: heal ( Hallazeal), taunt, big minion, overload cards, Evolve!
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: murlocs! what happened to class murlocs for shamans? they got Everyfin is Awesome and no new class murlocs in 4 expansions? they need a new class murloc! it is about time as murloc shaman is standard is dead! RIP Murloc
2: a new class totem: Yes i would like to see a new totem, not something really strong like Totem Golem, but a new totem would we really cool! with Thing from Below being really good, it could be nice to see a new totem!
3:battlecry cards: withRumbling Elemental i though shamans would get more and more battlecry cards, but it seems like they have got not any really good battlecry cards that can fit into everydeck in the last expansion (yes Master of Evolution and Eternal Sentinel, but i mean something more basic good battlecry cards) maybe battlecry draw a card for each totem you control? something cool like that!
warlocks:
what it got in the last expansion: zoo cards (Darkshire Councilman), deathrattles, c'thun synergy, cool spells
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: more cards like Renounce Darkness! what a super fun card! if there was a minion who could do a similar effect on maybe one of the warlock cards in your hand! o boy that would be fun!
2: demons! standard lost Voidcaller, and therefore demon decks lost there edge. without any new demons in the last 2 expansion! i think standard needs some demon love!
3:a better discard card: discard might not be the best mechanic in the game, but if there was a better card supporting this it would be FUN! maybe if you discard a certain minion it summons it with +1/+1?
Warrior
what it got in the last expansion: taunt, pirates, enrage, c'thun synergy
what i would like to see in the next Adventure:
1: Pirates! never thought i would be saying this, but pirates warrior is a pretty cool thing! and can become stronger with some more pirates!
2: dragons: warrior has dragon synergy (Alexstrasza's Champion) and i think warrior should have a class dragon! maybe based around gaining armor? if mage has a dragon and has no dragon support cards, why cant warrior have one?
3: taunts! with so much taint synergy and with an epic taunt for the last expansion (Bloodhoof Brave) i am waiting another taunt card which would make me go WOW!
Conclusion:
what a wicked expansion WOTOGS was! it really had some amazing cards and some amazing content! i cant wait for the next adventure and i really hope some of these ideas are introduced! or some new ideas! this is just my opinion, but i hope you enjoyed reading :)

I would like more Pirate synergy in Rogue. I enjoy Pirate Warrior decks and would like something similar with Rogues; of course, in different flavor. Perhaps, stealing charges away from opponent's weapon?
I'd like to see some cards that open up new possibilities for certain heroes. Priest needs some cheap minions that make an aggro deck a viable possibility, and Shaman needs a big heavy control-friendly legendary card. Hunter needs a good mid-sized beast with Taunt and a card draw option, and Druid needs a solid removal spell without drawbacks. Warlock needs some new Demons (hell, a few neutral Demons would be fun, too!). I agree about Rogue and Warrior - I don't think either class is really lacking, so give 'em more pirates, me hearties! Paladin definitely needs some solid cheap minions, like Priest, and Mage could use a healing spell.
Good idea! I would like to add, mana eaters to counter Druid's ramp.
Druid has been nerfed enough. Let us have our one advantage.
:) Okay, okay. But think about it, if people had some form of counter to Force of Nature and Savage Roar combo, nerfing the Force of Nature would have not been necessary. This kind of counter would may open up more design space for the Druid class as well.

Mechs and demons lost their standard syngergy when WotOG was released. Dragon tribe is next on the list.
BLackrock has barely any standard-impacting dragons, just Twilight Whelp. As long as we have dat 4 mana 3/6 taunt, dragons are going no where.
Something that might be cool as a neutral is forcing overload on your opponent; say, a 4 mana 1/1 minion that gives your opponent 2 overload on their next turn. Anti-aggro, for sure.
2 : Well I think they’re kinda hard to design, I mean, you have to think of 2 fairly unique effects, have them make some sense at their mana cost, and put a fitting minion. Otherwise, yeah, they’re very interesting.
3 : Considering the meta I’d be more worried about low cost ones. Also I think Blizzard estimates ( perhaps rightly so ) that this mana range isn’t the most useful to druids who will want to ramp ; Chance ares you will get some ramp by that point but might not have had the opportunity to play it because, well, can’t leave the board unattended, and if you do you’ll want to get to the 8-10 mana range ASAP instead of playing a 5-6 minion.
4 : Blizzard nerfed FoN, not Savage Roar, so it’d have to not be a “deathrattle: Summon X” effect.
Hunter
1 : I think a control hunter is one of the worst idea in the game. Them stalling out the game and simply hero-powering you to death ( Don’t forget control decks HP quite a good deal, compared to aggro/midrange ones ) would probably be one of the most painful experience in this game.
2 : Weapons are pretty much inescapable damage ( Unless you tech against it, which you definitely do in this meta ), which I’m not sure we’d like hunters to have.
3 : Well, yeah, they use deathrattles a lot, it’s just that...They don’t have that many good deathrattles that fit their game plan, and, again, not sure we want them to have some. I think we’re hitting that point when we just don’t want hunter to work, period.
Mage
1 : I think this runs the risk of making Frostbolt x 2 + Ice Lance x 2 a very very dangerous combo, especially with the “Gain X spell damage” effects you’re describing. Think about it, “gain +1 Spell damage for each card in your hand” makes this combo an OTK with just these 5 cards. I’d rather see mage get alternate ways to use Spell Damage, like having it affect the Hero Power and stuff, but again, considering the use it can already make of Spell Damage, might not want to make it too much.
2 : Ermh...Gonna be honest with you, that’s already a lot. Most classes simply have no way of protecting their face, and you’re forgetting animated armor, and in a way counterspell and that other similar secret, and basically the entirety of freeze effects.
3 : Nope nope nope nope nope. Cheap, re-usable freeze simply shuts down some classes way too hard in my opinion. However, more expensive options could be a thing.
Paladin
1 : Pretty much agree, though, care not making secret paladin a thing.
2 : Again, that’s already quite good, especially considering how much healing paladin has. Plus, flavour wise, Uther wouldn’t hide, peasant.
3 : Again, careful not letting Divine Shield paladin get out of hand.
4 : I’m no expert on murloc decks but I’m not sure a powerful ( read, expensive ) murloc fits anywhere, and I do think murloc decks are getting fairly crowded anyway, with not that much room for improvement.
Priest
1 : Agreed.
2 : Agreed, plus, being a dragon card instead of a dragon-related card doesn’t prevent you from seeing standard play.
Rogue
1 : If Blizzard is going for a control archetype, no, this is not the way to go. And I think Rogue should really get out of this 3 years old archetype that is miracle.
2 : Expensive and combo do not really mix well. As to other kind of 6 drops, yeah, sure, though, there are already Sylvanas and Cairne in deathrattle decks, which are probably enough 6 drops anyway.
3 : Dunno, N’Zoth decks seem to already be kinda crowded in that department. Not sure we need any more.
4 : Dunno how good coin synergy really is when, for now, you can really only get 3 per game, with some luck ( Using viable/reliable cards, that is ). And I’m saying that while I literally created a coin synergy cards a few days ago.
Warlock
1 : Agreed, plus zoolock seems to be pretty good ( Feeling the sarcasm ? ), so, could afford losing new additions to some fun stuff.
2 : I think the demon theme has pretty much been dropped. Sad, really, though.
3 : We ARE seeing “Hellfire” ( ? Whatever that “deal 4 damage, discard a card” card is ) come back, and more and more discard synergy/trigger, so this might actually be a thing.
Warrior
1 : I’m not sure I want to see that nightmare become worse. I mean, this thing is beast ( haha ! ) when it draws well, disgusting, really.
2 : Gonna quote myself from the Priest one here : “Agreed, plus, being a dragon card instead of a dragon-related card doesn’t prevent you from seeing standard play.”
3 : Eeeeh...Dunno. Careful not giving too many taunts to warriors or this could enable Bolster which could make everything go haywire.
Any particular reason for this thread being in Standard sub forum? The next expansion/adventure is going to be in Standard anyways, so why not post this in General Discussion instead?

We need a card that can strip away warriors armor stacking. We have Eater of Secrets so I don't see a problem with ripping away that armor.

Armor eater (lol) would be useless except against warrior and mana eater would be too game-breaking imo.

4 : I’m no expert on murloc decks but I’m not sure a powerful ( read, expensive ) murloc fits anywhere, and I do think murloc decks are getting fairly crowded anyway, with not that much room for improvement.
Priest
1 : Agreed.
2 : Agreed, plus, being a dragon card instead of a dragon-related card doesn’t prevent you from seeing standard play.
Rogue
1 : If Blizzard is going for a control archetype, no, this is not the way to go. And I think Rogue should really get out of this 3 years old archetype that is miracle.
2 : Expensive and combo do not really mix well. As to other kind of 6 drops, yeah, sure, though, there are already Sylvanas and Cairne in deathrattle decks, which are probably enough 6 drops anyway.
3 : Dunno, N’Zoth decks seem to already be kinda crowded in that department. Not sure we need any more.
4 : Dunno how good coin synergy really is when, for now, you can really only get 3 per game, with some luck ( Using viable/reliable cards, that is ). And I’m saying that while I literally created a coin synergy cards a few days ago.
Warlock
1 : Agreed, plus zoolock seems to be pretty good ( Feeling the sarcasm ? ), so, could afford losing new additions to some fun stuff.
2 : I think the demon theme has pretty much been dropped. Sad, really, though.
3 : We ARE seeing “Hellfire” ( ? Whatever that “deal 4 damage, discard a card” card is ) come back, and more and more discard synergy/trigger, so this might actually be a thing.
Warrior
1 : I’m not sure I want to see that nightmare become worse. I mean, this thing is beast ( haha ! ) when it draws well, disgusting, really.

3 : Eeeeh...Dunno. Careful not giving too many taunts to warriors or this could enable Bolster which could make everything go haywire.

Am I the only one who wants more Pally Dragon synergy?
My turn:
Rogue: Weapons and a decent AoE
Warrior: Less armor gain cards,more damaged minion synergy.
Warlock: Early game removal and a decent heal(or taunt),Demon synergy.
Druid: Burst not reliant on board.
Mage: Less RNG.
Hunter: A 1 mana 1/3.
Priest: Cards that do work on their own,not only in a 2 card combo.
Paladin: Recruit synergy.
Overall: Less ramp gameplay and more synergy based decks,combos,armor removal as a neutral tech,less rng,ability to chose when you 'activate' taunt.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
