Quick question from a scrubby ladder pilgrim 'ere:
I've been playing a Shaman list very much like Portex's, and I've been doing OK (I raised my ladder ranking from 15 to 10 so far). But, and I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, I'm not quite sure how the deck works (there seems to be a lot of card advantage through sweepers and raw card drawing, some tempo plays here, some burst damage there). Are these decks control? Midrange? Some other philosophy I don't get?
Is there maybe some player streaming a shammy deck you might recommend me? I'm sure I misplay quite a lot with this deck, specially when it comes to overload spells and opening hands.
At last, a different hunter. The rushing counterpart is so boring that I can't stand it. I guess that this is a quite nice alternative, even if it's much more expensive.
The shaman decks you see are mostly just value decks, playing great removal and attempting to overwhelm the board through 2 for ones that get you ahead. Some versions will feature windfury or alakur to pair with rockbiter to put a huge damage swing to close out the game. the reason it feels like you arent doing it right is that the deck is just kinda fair.
