This deck was built to address the current aggro-meta. It is pretty dangerous around turn 6 or 7 and doesn't lose steam in late game. My sideboard included: Acidic Swamp Ooze, another Hex and Earthen Ring Farseer (replaced Lightning Storm against Ice Block Mage)
One exception doesn't negate the validity of the argument that rarity=power. Galleon's deck is nice and achievable though for more casual players so that is nice.
Is there any alternative for Sylvanas in Galleons deck?
The closest thing would be the Faceless Manipulator. Doesn't remove the opponents minion, but does give you a neutral option. Rogue Specific might be Patient Assassin but doesn't give you a copy. These cards are poor substitutes but could work IMO

It's a slightly different take but but Fan of Knives is an ok change here if you're expecting Warlocks or some other kind of rush down. As a lower tier deck it should be serviceable.
I run a board control Shaman deck somewhat similar to the 3rd place finisher, which has been very strong against the Freeze Mage meta. Perhaps I'll join the next!
Nice work Galleon, semi-finalist with one legendary and no epics. One in the eye for the "rarity = power" complainers.
Except it has a legendary in it? I own one legendary. It's Edwin Van Useless. Rarity does = power, one deck with "only" one legendary doesn't disprove that.
It's amazing how many people follow these managrind top 4 decks. Even at lowly level 15, I have faced multiple managrind clones of the Shaman/Rogue decks, down to every last detail, since this list was posted.

I like testing builds that other players use but I find that a lot of tournament decks do not perform as well in ranked because they were not designed for ranked game play.

I did notice that too. I wonder if this is positive or negative for the game ? And will it even out things in the future as all these decks will be published over a full year ?
I personally find it very negative, as now every class plays the exact same way now...rush, rush, rush, rush. It's getting really dull, really fast.

Nice. Been looking forward to the decklists for the most recent MageGrind tournament. I guess mages have learned to counter their own anti-meta.
Poetic.

I'm very glad that the lists are up now. Just a little bit disappointed that it took this long.
I knew shaman would be good, I even made a deck for it that is very similar to that one (minus the legendaries) and it's working quite fine.
Arena Tips
Tried using Muffins deck this morning and Ive won about 2 games and losing about 20

Ah yes, all mages all the time. Sweet meta.

Tipp for tourneys: Don't prep for current meta, prepare for predicted next meta ;)

This man speaks the truth. In ccg's, you always want to try to stay a step ahead in major tournaments.
Decklists will only be posted on Mondays from now on so they do not alter the EU tournament meta as they have in the past.

i would recommend you assassinate to remove big threats if game last that long, or more aggression Leeroy/arcane golem are good pick to finish game.
