"the winning move" he should attack with the imp in stealth against the only enemy minion that would give 2 health to the Argent squire the explosive trap would not destroy the squire and win for the damage to Hunterace, even if redirection was the secret, I think Viper was clouded at that time and he did not think clearly, remember these guys come from several games and hours of play
He did not miss lethal. Explosive Trap kills everything, then deathrattles of Blood Imps are activated. So, he would be left with nothing. Everyone is like, 'Yeah but he thought it was something else maybe'. Doesn't matter. Explosive Trap kills everything either way. Period. So, one last time, no lethal was present there. It was just pure Hunterace luck. Also, Viper was bragging abour EU, but that doesn't mean anything related to Karma. Casper is from Norway, which is in EU.
I think he misplayed that turn. While I think it's quite fair to choose to play around Misdirection instead of Explosive Trap he should at least have waited to play the second Witchwood Imp to after the attack in case of Explosive Trap. It would only increase the risk of destroying your minions with misdirection from 20% to 25% and it would most likely set up lethal next turn.
There's only miss lethal when you know what the secret is, if it had been a misdirection then on that play the imp could have attacked the argent squire and we would have said "miss lethal" as well. Although if you play the imp and the voidwalker then missing lethal that way would have been much more unlikely.
If you take a step back, when preparing this championship they probably didn't go through lists of secrets, quite unlikely that a rogue would have gotten a random one...

Not seen the game yet as I fell asleep. I know how good explosive is Vs. aggro decks though. I run 2 at the minute and the best thing is when a plot twist warlock goes face with one of their 1/1 tokens, immolating all his board :D
Not many people expect explosive right now I don't think. the amount of times people have went face and killed their board, for me at least. I think they expect rat trap or snakes, maybe freezing.
It's best doing it to that big cheaty warlock that's out right now that sacs a board of 1/1's. if they go face with one of those tokens, the whole board is gone and they loose pretty much.
"oh sorry dude, did you want to sacrifice that, are you going to loose now?" ha ha :D Homebrew weirdness, destroying the perceived "OP" decks as always.
Btw while most, like me, might think it would be most likely for the rogue to pick Explosive rather than Misdirection, the way Hunterace played the turn before didn't telegraph it was explosive. Actually it might seem more likely to be Misdirection. However I still stand by my post that Viper could've played the turn better for an overall higher chance of winning the matchup. But then again on that stage after so many hours you are bound to make plays that are less than optimal from time to time.

there is 1Witchwood Imp and Argent Squire on board ready to attack but viper playing Voidwalker and fail board lethal right?
How much packs will I get for Roger?
--Alfi--
Just 1
Plenty of huge mistakes so far, my assumption is those are made from being under huge pressure.
aah, ok :-/
And I did not get a classic pack for having open the twitch stream either.
Well, better than nothing.
--Alfi--
Soo its lethal or not? Somebody should test it
viper doesn't miss lethals, lethals miss viper
what? when the Explosive Trap triggers, the Argent Squire dies at the same time that the Witchwood Imps die, therefore the Argent Squire does not survive the Explosive Trap
That wasn't a miss lethal.
Can we all pause for a second and acknowledge how lucky it is to roll an explosive trap against a zoo warlock?
I would be pretty pissed

Karma I say,Viper has been known to brag about his game in the past ,and bragging about EU.
He didn't kniw what secret it was so he chose to play around misdirection.
So was this a lethal miss?
Well yes, but actually no
yeah just 1 for roger. I was initially gonna vote hunterace too just based on a hunch, but I decided to go with the data for once. ha ha.
he missed a good chance to get lethal

OK, but that decks is still horrible in Wild.
