Cape Fear Games in Wilmington NC will be hosting a release party and tournament on January 7th. Standard format, modified Conquest event. Here is the information for the event. If you have any questions please let us know!
Tournament: $8 Entry Fee, payout in store credit based on record.
Players must provide their own device for playing. WiFi will of course be provided for network access. Power strips will be available to charge devices, but please make sure you bring a fully charged device to play on.
This is a Standard best 2-of-3 Conquest format tournament, meaning players must have three unique class decks and must win with two of their chosen classes. When a player has won with one of their classes, they are not allowed to play with that class again that round. The losing player may choose to play with the same class or with a different class. Players will not know which class their opponent has chosen to play with but will know which classes their opponent has available.
This is a Swiss +1 tournament, meaning players are not eliminated and will continue to play until all rounds have been completed. There will be a minimum of four (4) rounds. If the tournament ends without a single participant holding the best record, an additional round is added to ensure that one player emerges at the top of the tournament rankings. There will be no round time limit.
Decklists must be provided and can either be emailed to Cape Fear Games beginning on Wednesday, January 3rd or printed by the player and provided to the tournament organizer before beginning the event. Players must play with the decks they have submitted. If a player is caught changing a card in their deck at any point in the tournament, they will be disqualified and will forego any rights to prizes they may have earned prior to their disqualification. This includes raffle prizes.
The Fireside Gathering is free, however, the tournament and prizes are for paying participants only. Players and fans are more than welcome to come out and challenge other players or watch the event. Come get Nemsy if still needed as well!
