As the title suggests, I want to host a fireside gathering with 2 friends of mine at a local park to get the new Warlock Hero. How is it going to work? We submitted the event with all the details on the firesidegathering.com and it says that it needs to be approved by Blizzard but then what? If Blizzard approves the event then at the designated time we just log in our accounts and it counts, as in we get the hero skin? That's the part that seems difficult to understand. What happens during the event that triggers us getting the hero skin. Help!
Going to ask this on Battle net forum as well, but maybe someone here knows ...
Does the Fireside have to fall between the dates listed to get the Warlock hero? The next Fireside local to me is on Nov 12, which is a week after this "event" seems to end.

It'll be available after those dates, the blizzard site says something to that effect.
its kinda sad to see that only when there are rewards people are interested in fireside gatherings which is not how fireside gatherings are supposed to be
I think that's exactly how fireside gatherings are supposed to be. Offering an incentive for people to attend Hearthstone events is a great idea.

you are right about that but fireside gathering was intended to be a place people could go to to talk and have fun and very unlikely but possible become friends. now people would go there for rewards and couldnt care less about the others who are there
We like playing computer games, who needs irl friends?

This just feels like intellectually lazy excuses. We won't know how it plays out until the event even starts.
As an aside, Mr Murlocleader2001 you should add my BNET, it seems like we're chit chatting to each other a lot.
You added a smiley face, but that is still using homophobia to control other men's behavior. Message: if you're a guy who likes his guy friends too much, people will think you're gay. So don't like your friends too much. If I had to give up my full emotional life because I'm a guy, you should have to, to.
how do you know if a fireside gathering you are attending is just a gathering or a tavern already?
Established taverns have a banner icon and a name
New taverns have the lantern symbol.
You need to go to an established tavern to get the Warlock hero. Or you can help a new tavern become established and then on their next gathering you can get the Warlock hero.

I wasn't sure that I would enjoy the community aspect of fireside gatherings, but I really do now and I've been to 5 gatherings this year.
The reason I attended my first gathering was just to collect the fireside cardback for my collection. Sometimes people need a little push.

It's not the 80s anymore.
WTF?
I didn't even bring gender into this thread let alone inferring you were gay..

...The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude to the problem.
i am going to a tavern on the 19th, but considering the low turn out of the last event, what happens if we dont have 6 people (3v3) at the tavern? can we still play the halloween brawl?

You have to establish your fireside gathering before unlocking the hero skin. Read the entire post.

So register a second fireside gathering to take place a week after your first fireside gathering to unlock the skin.

A) You + 2 others
Or
B) You plus 3 others.
I'm asking this as I only have 2 friends who play hearthstone and I would have to borrow another device if it is option B. Thanks in advance!
Its me and 2 others but im not sure if thats enough :P
How do you contact a gathering?
ie I can bring equipment switches/wireless/cabling so I can help out IF needed. how do you contact the person running the event?
