For a week, I've been seen very sub-optimal decks in casual frequently. Decks with river croc and bloodfen hunter. All those basics cards. Just me or is anyone else experiencing this? I play in NA

I haven't noticed that. I was going into casual to test some decks I built like a Dreadsteed Warlock. I was running into patron, Face Hunter ZooLock and other tier one decks. It was a little frustrating but I guess if your going to test it should be against everything.

This. I threw together a beast druid deck to mess around with some of the new cards and my 5 games were:
Patron Warrior
Dragon priest
Secret Paladin
Patron Warrior
Face hunter
They all played REALLY REALLY badly but the fact is, it's 5 top tier decks.
As an aside, how much of a goon do you need to be to play Patron Warrior in Casual?
What I can say is: I like to make new decks, and I always try them in casual for a while. Normally, it was has hard as ranked, so when I was done tweaking a deck in casual, I could go to ranked and hold my ground. These days, I go to casual, rake a high % of wins, so I think my deck is ready, go to ranked, and get obliterated. Basically, there's now a huge difference between rank and casual now, while before, both were close enough that, while playing in casual, you could decide if a deck was rank ready or not.

There's a definite difference in quality of play. The decks tend to be the same though with the occasional new player or experimental deck showing up in casual.
Lol I am seriously getting all noob decks. I saw 3 goldshire footman from different players already. The last time I met a proper deck was like 20 games ago. This guy had 2 goldshire footman up earlier.

You are the man they have been talking about, playing competitive decks in a supposedly casual experience

Why are you playing casual, may I ask?
If you are facing all but new players, why are still doing it?
Playing around with troll decks. I get bored if I play a lot but I am currently having a lot of fun with my astral communion deck with like 20 legendaries, which is more funny against f2p noobs.

So, you enjoy trolling the new players in the game? If so, why?
Also, why not go to Tavern Brawl or Ranked?

Sounds like you're just running into new players. Keep in mind that casual is the preferred game mode for those who are just starting out.
Hearthstone...I play that.
Music...I make that.
Youtube...I have that.

Rarely play casual, but when I do it feels like ladder

I would love hidden server-side algorithm that would match people using common netdecks together and let not serious decks have their share of fun.
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
