If they change Astalor's damage component to be 100% from manathirst then that would remove the issue with the Brann interaction and thus, remove the necessity in Nerfing Guff. Either way we'll find out in a couple days!

I played Astalor Druid for awhile but I'm still not quite sure what Brann + Astalor's interaction you're talking about. You say that switching the damage to 100% manathirst would remove the issue with it but from what I saw Brann only ever interacts with the manathirst half in the first place. I never got 10 armour when playing brann followed by second form, or 4-dmg from first form. Only ever an extra copy of the added card to hand and 32-dmg if the last form is played with brann.
Edit: I am so confused. After clicking post I remembered that the card added to hand IS the battlecry, the armour and 2-dmg the manathirst. I am so sorry.
Armor and damage are from Manathirst, adding the next stage is from Battlecry. As for the last part, currently it says "deal 16 instead", which means that the Battlecry is modified, and then doubled by Brann.
Brann and guff are hardly even a threat anymore. With rogue and demon hunter getting knocked off the top, it’s going to make the next best decks stronger. Look out for frost mage, pure paladin, imp warlock and maybe death knight. Undead priest may be viable if the buffs are stronger than just a couple of stats. Warrior is still going to be bad, it needs a mini set to crawl out of the hole.
The real reason I’m not worried about brann and guff though is phylactery warlock. It farms ramp Druid all day along with every other slow deck. The fast pace of rogue and DH kept it in check, but without them… we may have phylactery warlock being the new scourge. Tons of healing, draw, mana discounts, and a very reliable kill from just about any health on turn 8 or 9. There are also no nerfs to mithril runed rod which still is very broken and has been nerfed twice.

Yea, I already edited my post because I figured out what I said after made no sense.

Patch notes only being released Thursday and not the patch? That's what it seems like from their twitter post.
Lots of buffed cards that I'm intrigued to see but very disappointed to not see Brann or Guff changes
Nerfed cards:
Knoll
Rogue Location
DH Quest
Sinful Brand
Glacial Advance
Shockspitter
Astalor

Sigh, very mild. Can't tell what half the buffs are though.
Let's just hope they've learned that nobody enjoys mana-cheating or dumb mechanics like Shockspitter and curses for future expansions.
