I'm coming back to play after a couple year break, so nearly all the current cards are very new to me. That means a lot of losses as I go through the process of learning & rebuilding my collection.
I remember people sometimes refusing to kill you, but it seems to be more common now. It's always been really annoying to me. I've already played a few games today where I'm down to health of just 1 or 2, with no cards in play. But despite having a full board of high attack cards or spells, they continuously refuse to win.
I hate conceding, though I assume that a concede is the same value as a direct win.
Is there a benefit to the player who does this? Is it just a way to be annoying?
Maybe they are only nice. Maybe you play weird decks and they think you only want to complete some quest like "Play 30 infuse cards".
I do the same thing. When I see you are playing one weapon after another and don't attack, I will hit you down to like 1 or 2 health and let you play your 10 weapons to complete the quest.
Oh, that makes sense & definitely takes away the annoyance.
Thanks - I don't mind helping in that. :)
Do you play on NA or EU? If EU, please feel free to add me.
I don't need a punching bag for quests, simply don't mind having nice people in my friend list for a challenge a friend quest.
If you want some help with ranked wild, I might provide some assistance (usually legend when I can), even though my time is limited, with a 9-18 job, a girlfriend, two dogs, and my own ranking to do.
I know in my case that I'm bad at Math's, so I often don't realise I have lethal on board. So I then start to play more cards.
I often will tunnel vision into a certain play I want to do, and not even realise I've already won.
This is why I find the ability to have a counter for damage on board on Deck Tracker to be very useful. Not only can I see what damage I have, but I can see what the opponent has, too. this saves a lot of time, as I can work out a lot faster if I can prevent lethal or not and then just concede if it's unwinnable, and similarly I can tell if I have lethal on board and just finish the game if this is the case.

They might be trying to finish off their quests as long as you're willing to humor them.

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.
probably to finish a quest or something.
