im actually serious. their 1 weakness was paladins just killing them by turn 6 but they lost most of their early game. over 74% of my games since nerfs are mage and warlock
People are probably just experimenting for now to see what works. I would give it a few weeks for things to even out. If warlock increases, then expect people to start countering. It’s like a never ending cat & mouse game. But as the previous poster stated, knowing what deck you’re playing would definitely help out.
What are you playing, OP? Could be warlock's just a bad matchup for your deck.
rogue and midrange shaman. very hard to outvalue them in the midgame and they have so much removal and heal you cant slowly chip them down. with rogue im forced to try and get a big combo alex turn to kill them, but usually they are too much health or just burn my deck. once they play the inevitable turn 7 soulsciologist for 23/23 worth of stats its basically impossible to retake the board.
i suppose hunter could be aggressive enough, but they dont have much reach outside quick shot and rhino once they eventually lose the board to all the early removal.
briefly tested out paladin, but that stood no chance without dealling 10+ damage a turn with crabrider.
I feel you OP, warlock is way better spot now it has good chances against literally everything... the hardest matchups are miracle rogue,OTK Dh and mage with incanter's flow on 2. Also paladin that used to be it's weakness now are getting stomped (libram).
They have shit tons of removals and heals its insane lol

Token Druid works like a charm for me against them. With buffs, your boards are out of range for their School Spirits, they are too wide for Hysteria and they usually come down before Twisting Nether is a thing. Ogremancer is more or less the only problem. Token Druid is a deck a lot of people are sleeping on anyway, I've had a 68% winrate with it so far this season. Never reached Diamond 5 easier. Could possibly go for legend, but I'm too lazy for the grind.
Yeah since Conviction didn't get nerfed, Paladin is still very strong. Sure First Day of School nerf (and yes, it is a nerf) affect paladin quite a bit, the Hysteria offset it.
Also, no more Crabrider, but Paladin have plenty of other option to fit the spot. and it really enjoy having Refreshing Spring Water to 5 mana
Do you even see the stats. Warlock is the 8th best class according to win rate. And you call it OP. Much more likely you just have no idea how to play the matchup, because Warlock is not as strong as people claim it is

warlock is 8th ranked according to what? People have to realize that win rates are meaningless and stats can lie also. Play legend rank against a control lock and come back and tell me it’s 8th place. You will be one of the many saying nerf Tickatus. Jokes aside, rogue is the problem at the moment...
Any aggro / tempo deck should do. Yet, if you are looking for something non-aggro, Control Warrior is looking really good in early days of "new" meta and variant with Rattlegore should destroy Warlock with ease (unless he learns to run Ironbeak Owl, which it's not very likely).
all i see is mage and warlock now, and warlock seems to have removal every single turn without ever tapping. think im like 0-18 against them now..
lol

Paladin's winrate dropped but is going back up.

Ceterum censeo classum magi esse delendam.
What paladin nerfs? The 0 cost card that is now 1 and gives three minions? Lol

I played my Token Druid against a Warlock who had triple School Spirits (one from scorpion) into Malicia on curve and he crushed me.
Just kidding, he still didn't stand a chance despite having the nut draw. The current iteration of Control Warlock only beats control decks.

Wrong, it also beats combo and midrange. But then again, midrange is almost completely dead.
It really only loses to aggro.
Which combo? Certainly not OTK Demon Hunter or Miracle (Alex) Rogue.
Obviously Warlock is still bad.
It beats Priest. Full stop. Nothing else. Most overrated deck of all time
Although you are correct that it beats midrange (it beat both Libram Paladin and Rush Warrior pre-patch) it's winrate against combo decks is abysmal.
Giberling Druid is also essentially a combo deck, not an aggro deck as a lot of people believe.
