Shaman got a lot of powerful murlocs in this expansion, but they can’t seem to compete with any decks that are being played.
i’ve been trying to play murloc shaman for a few days and it just feels like the mid range cards, 4-6 and the boards clears are way to powerful for me to ever build a board. So as per the title, I was curious what the community this this deck would need to work in standard.
Toxfin and Underbelly Angler, it's what mostly gives strenght to this deck in Wild, enough for it to be a good choice for climbing. In short, like Pherosizm said, it needs to be able to refill, but Shaman will never get decent card draw, so not having Underbelly in Standard really hurts the deck.
As others have said, what any good aggro deck needs (for any class) is a way to replenish your hand somehow. Without it, as soon as you run out of steam, you're pretty much dead in the water.
I feel like the caravan should be a 0/4, so that maybe it lasts a turn or two, it’s not a hand refill but now a days with all the spells and rush minions that thing doesn’t even draw a single card more then half the time.

Murloc shaman seems a lot scarier if they could dump all their murlocs on board and then refill their hand to play more.
I'm looking at you, aggro Demon Hunter.

What they need is at least one of these cards back in standard or be replaced by a similar card : Murloc Warleader, Finja, the Flying Star, Old Murk-Eye, Underbelly Angler, Unite the Murlocs.
And Spirit of the Frog needs to be a core card but that's a different issue, not only related to murlocs.
