You know guys, I noticed that i have +30k dust after the 20.0 patch, before that I had pending for disenchant around 120k dust and now I have around 150k dust pending to be disenchanted?
Someone else had the same "issue" I mean I am not complaining just saying if this is normal...
You get him for free by an achievement and if you already own him he goes straight into the dust.
IDK if this goes the same for the free classic golden cards you obtained by the achievement.
So yeah blizzard was very generous this patch with the achievement
Yes I have the complete Classic collection including Parrot, Old Murk and all legendaries including golden ones... could be that but I didnt expected that kind of generosity...
so after the core set will be live we will get refund dust for the past crafted cards that will be in the core set ?
For example, I've got a bunch of golden cards for my 5k achievements but I've already crafted golden versions of these cards in the past and I want to know if I should disenchant them or wait for the core set to come live.

From my understanding, the core cards act as a sort of token. This also explains why a lot of players are experiencing an increase in their pool for disenchanting dust. They have the original card from its set, say King Krush (Classic), but also receive King Krush (Core-set). The disenchanter now shows King Krush as a duplicate, and thus King Krush (Classic) can be sharded while keeping the core-set one.
Imagine a new player, they do not have any of the core set cards, and thus receive them (uncraftable/non-disenchantable) from the core-set. Other players with the card in their collection now have King Krush (Classic) and King Krush (Core). Obviously, they are in different formats, and with some cards, act differently. If you were to shard the core-variant, you would not be able to play with it on say wild.
You will probably not be refunded, but be able to disenchant them, whilst keeping the core-set. However, since they are core-set, they can only be used in core format, and once dusted, they cannot be used in say wild, or classic. Think of it as a borrowed set.

It wouldn't make sense otherwise.
Meaning that if I click that mass disenchant button I am going to disenchant my legit copies of the classic cards and I will keep that borrowed core set? but then what will happen next year I will not have my legit copies of that cards anymore so I dont want to do that I want to have my legit copies of that cards.
That would be terrible, TERRIBLE! I hope this is not the case. But I'd rather not press the button :)
Now im start thinking the other way around, Initially I said oh! Blizzard is so generous this year, but now its like... hey its a trap! yes I will have my 30k extra dust but then I will lose the whole Classic collection... Not sure if it is intented or just weird bug/interaction...
I have exactly the same “issue” - an absolute ton of extra dust reported on the mass disenchant button.
I have a hunch it may be simply double counting classic cards (i.e. counting each classic card once for classic mode and once for standard/wild) in which case this would be a lot of free dust.

Im definitely not brave enough to try it though
Me neither, I was not planning to press that button I am just a dust hoarder but I was wondering.... what will happen if I click that
Tested it on an alt acct - I got a smaller amount of dust than reported
So, its probably as safe as it ever was in terms of disenchanting your only real copy of cards when the core set happens, but you wont get any free dust
Hey, not sure if this is the perfect thread to run into and post and I apologize for any inconvenience but I'm a bit confused. Why do my Core set cards count as classic set and viceversa? I mean.. I'm planning on playing Core (old standard) only and I'm worried that if I DE my Classic cards they will also get removed from my Core set.
It is doubling counting them in the dust pool, but from what people have said it is safe to hit the disenchant button as it wont disenchant them before the actual expansion hits live.

From my understanding, Classic and Core cards are different. Sharding your classic cards won't make you lose your core cards. Blizzard is just a small indie company making such a statement very confusing.

Regarding current dust available I just disenchanted x2 Ysera
Do you have old murk eye for example?

probably visual bug because of core set
Then thats your awnser.
I for example didnt have all the golden classic cards so I have to wait for rotation before i can get the dust.
Is it possible to get golden versions of parrot and murkeye? I have only non-golden.
Guys, I don't understand:

Its definitely double counting - i disenchanted a silence and it reduced the dust from mass disenchant by 10
Still not brave enough to actually try it
Thanks for testing, regarding Blizzard poor small indie company....
