let’s have a look at the most played decks; Tempo DH, Highlander Hunter, Galakrond Priest, Galakrond Rogue and Highlander Mage. Between each other, their best/worst matchup Winrates are as follows:
Tempo DH: 48%/56%
Highlander Hunter: 43%/67%
Galakrond Priest: 33%/49%
Galakrond Rogue: 44%/55%
Highlander Mage: 38%/56%
By far most matchups among these are between 40-60%, which is very balanced. Even in the most polarizing matchups, which are few, you have more than 1/3 chance to win if played properly. Very decent imo.

The meta definitely feels completely solved. Need some new cards ASAP. Nerfs/buffs aren't doing much. There isn't much innovation out there right now. Every class seems to be represented by basically the same couple decks, so yes I can see how rock/paper/scissors seems like its a thing for sure.

I'd say there's still room for experimentation. Quest Warlock basically just popped up recently, so it's not like everything has been set in stone for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if some other decks popped up as well.
It always was and it will always be. Every format one deck emerges, which is better than others. Then its best counter becomes the best. So people go back to the decks, which have been previously smashed by the first one and ultimately the best counter to the second one joins the party.
This is pretty much what we had with DH, Warrior and Rogue before the nerfs and what we have now with DH, Warrior and Hunter.
I feel like I know the outcome of my ladder match-ups before they even start.
well, it depends on the deck you are using. But IMO some past metas were worst in that aspect.
Maybe if you're using meta decks. My advice: don't use a meta deck.
Hunter is a rock paper scissors in one deck :)
I’d say no.

The problem is its steepness. Shallow-up RPS and a lot of problems like MMR and RNG will be solved,
We make our world significant through the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers.
This meta is farthest from a rock-paper-scissors meta. And even if it was it would be more balanced... this meta is an rng fiesta.
@OP there has been meta's where certain matchup's are actually 100%. We don't have anything near that right now as Claesh posted.
Thanks for the good replies! I am letting my sample size confuse me again.
we certainly do. Priest loses hard vs rogue and quest warlock. There is no way in winning those games.
These are not 100% like control warrior vs agro or infinite armor warrior of the past.
I mean 100% matchups, not favoured.

What priest do you play? Galakrond priest has favored matchups again standard Galakrond rogue (53,7%) and Highlander Galakrond Rogue (52,9%).
It does indeed have unfavored (barely) matchups against Secret Galakrond Rogue (49,5%) and quest warlock (46%).
The stats have been taken in Diamond through legend bracket to ensure more skilled pilots for a better indication of the matchups.
If you really see those matchups as unwinable, you need to adjust your play style with the deck against those.
First time, I've already heard it in every expansion.
There's always that element in CCGs, or any asymmetric PvP game for that matter, but this isn't bad.
Couldn’t agree more

Without rng, then maybe. Its hard, but not impossible to win an unfavored matchup.
