I've been thinking about the inconsistency of DH having a 1 mana hero power and the, sometimes to so small, advantage it gives in comparison with all the other classes.
Keeping that in mind, I have thought of the possibility of giving all other classes 1 mana cost hero powers, so when you make a deck you could choose to play with the regular 2 mana cost hero power or the new 1 mana cost hero power. I think it would give the game a fresh and more variable deckbuilding experience.
So, the new hero powers would something like this:
Druid: Choose one - +1 attack this turn or +1 armor.
Hunter: Deal 1 damage to the enemy hero.
Mage: Deal 1 damage to a minion.
Paladin: (I don't know, HELP!).
Priest: Restore 1 Health.
Rogue: Equip a 1/1 dagger.
Shaman: Summon a random totem. (-1 health to all totems, and 1/1 totem is replaced by a 0/1 deathrattle that gives 1 damage to a random enemy).
Warrior: Gain 1 armor.
Warlock: Draw a card and take 3 damage.
Of course, after all this, DH would have to get a 2 mana cost hero power, which would probably be +2 Attack this turn.
What do you guys think about this and any changes you would make?
But you would be able to choice between both hero powers when making deck, and of course make some cards that would take advantage of these new hero powers.
The thing is it is designed in such a way to be 1/2 the mana, 1/2 the effect of, for example, druids hp. Now it is agreed that 1 mana is worth more than 1 armor, but it is also a part of the classes design.
The Druid HP is fine because druids don't really utilize it with anything other than just the HP itself. Demon hunter cards were intentially printed to work with the hero power.
On a final note, rogues actually have the "exact same" hero power in terms of mana cost-value. Rogues actually still have a better hp overall tempo-wise, as it can be loaded and then reserved as opposed to having to attack that same turn to utilize it. Granted there are different situations with this, as demon hunters is better when there is already a weapon equipped.
If any i think that DH hero power was a mistake and should be changed to 2 mana gain 2 atk. That would mess their curve a lot, and would prevent them to always use their mana in the most efficient way. Because whenever they have a spare mana, "why not, I'll take that extra damage".
That's just what I mean! Why take away that chance of using any spare mana from all other classes? I think it would make more fair to be able to choose which HP use for any given deck bulit.
If this was a thing. For paladin give a minion plus 1 attack or 1 health, and make more cards that generate silver hands. Or we think all the other classes are getting faster with a 1 mana hero power a 1/1 minion isn’t to much but it’s a really good cause you can run a agro or control deck and always have a good turn on play
While I don't think it's a good idea to change the hero powers, I certainly think that giving Demon Hunter a 1 Mana hero power was a mistake, and til makes it much more valuable especially in early game
Too good you are not a developer, destroy the iconic identity of the hero power of each class. So DH's hero power is a problem, they should never have given him a hero power for one mana.
agreed what a rushed class... 1 mana hero power is random.. even the class name is off compared to the others.. why not monk? biggest mistake in HS history sorry it's true.,

You need to provide more than just an opinion. It is extremely similar to rogues, both having upsides and downsides over the other in terms of powerlevel. What exactly is it destroying?

2 mana +2 Attack this turn. Can not attack enemy hero this turn. 2 mana +2 Attack this turn and attack random enemy. (blz sooo like random, so why not)

First, why should I contribute more things than my opinion? nobody prevents me from writing more or less, it's my decision, I don't have to listen to you. There are topics that simply do not cover for more or are easy to understand.
It loses the sense that all classes have the option of having a hero power of cost 1. For that there is Genn Greymane with one condition. Each game would be unbalanced with this option. It is also comparable to the druid's hero power.
No, there is no need to give the nine old classes 1 mana hero power. But for consistency and many other reasons, DH hero power should cost 2 as well (gain 2 atk of course). That way I'm fine even with a stupidly broken card like Twin Slice
Most of these are pretty straightforward and just halve the effect of the 2-cost hero power. For those that aren't quite that simple, you see the issue immediately. Mage deal 1 for 1 is just way too powerful and Warlock would have a GOD TIER hero power if it cost 1.

It is obviously your choice to just contribute your opinion and nothing more but you then need to accept that whatever you're saying carries 0 weight behind it. I could say "goldshire footman is breaking the game because it's too overpowered" and leave it at that. But it means absolutely nothing without explanation.
Not all classes need a 1 mana cost hero power. Every hero power is balanced around what the class has to offer. Demon hunter hp is definitely not overpowered nor was it ever contributing to the class being too strong.

Yea.........NO.
would be a huge nerf to all other classes cause the dh cards are balanced to the advantage of hero power
