i would really like to start seeing some cards that have great synergy with the overload mechanic again. what i mean by that is cards that don't have overload themselves but that benefit from having it. Shaman is losing some of its current best overload options in ZAP, Thunderhead, and Voltaic Burst and in the last year it has gained Surging Tempest, Vessina, and Cumulo-Maximus which are all great cards but i think for overload and mainly the shaman archetype needs just a few more cards to help. One obvious one that comes to mind is a card that unlocks overloaded crystals. But some custom ideas which is more what i want this post to be about are ways to turn overload into damage itself. like a spell or minion that deals damage to all other minions based on the number of locked crystals. or cards that are discounted by locked mana. I'm sure these kind of cards float around the development team all the time but might be deemed too powerful. The way i see it is cards with overload are almost always going to be more powerful than others of similar cost so if they created cards that essentially take away the downside of overload then it could just make the overload archetype too powerful. Most of all i would just like to see more than one deck being played for shaman at a time and trying to think of ideas that might diversify the class back to it's roots a little bit.
Play Wild, problem solved. You can easily make a pretty good Overload Aggro Shaman deck there with all the cards available. Believe me, I have done it and it works, but stopped playing with it because I prefer Arena and using slower decks on ladder, that's all.
