I didn't see anyone mention, that with Emperor Thaurissan + Drakkari Enchanter you can go into Maiev Shadowsong (costs 2 mana with emperor) and Malygos (costs 7 mana with emperor). After 2 turns, which you can use for drawing damaging spells, you'll have 10 mana to kill the enemy. Other than explosive runes, counterspell and potion of polymorph (and of course agro playstyle) I can't see any way to stop this combo.
This enables almost every class to deal a great amount of damage with spells: druid, hunter, mage, rogue, shaman, warlock, and priest can deal over 30 damage. The problematic classes are warrior (16 damage max.), demon hunter (0 damage max) and paladin (23 damage max.).
I found this interesting, what are your thoughts on this guys?
That's alot of waiting to perform your combo. The Drakkari + Emperoer turn is one do nothing turn on turn 9. Then you have to survive the 2 dormant turns (you would already need all of your combo pieces... Praying for cards in the next 3 cards would be bad, plus the combo would work better if they were reduced cost spells) before you can activate your combo... Usually staying alive just to get your combo pieces is hard enough, waiting 3 more turns would be tough.
Its alot of pieces too... Emporer, Drakkari Enchanter, Maiev, and Malygos, plus whatever damage spells you'll need.. WIth one Malygos, you'll need 3-4 spells... The less spells you need, the more expensive, so you'd need Emporer to reduce them for a 1 turn play.
I'm sure there's a way, it just might not be easy.
