I know they work independent of regular packs (e.g. you cannot expect the pity timer of reg packs to affect them at all) but does anyone know if they have their own counters? I ask because I've opened a few and have never gotten anything other than one rare. Itd be so hot to know that one day golden packs would pay off big.
I am also curious. I've also only ever gotten 1 rare, and I think I've opened 3 or 4 in total, not sure though. Ofc, I have this garbage luck with regular packs as well. XD

Nature is the Day. Man is the Sun. Woman is the Moon. The Stone is the Sky. The Art is the Way.
I got golden Grommash Hellscream in the first one a epic in other two I have opened so I got pretty lucky. But you are right, pity timer is independent so it is just about luck since it seems you will never even get close to pity timer.
what should the price be? the lowest value on dust in regular packs is 40, in golden packs 300. that's 7,5times more which means 750 gold for a golden pack. xD

Haha, yeah, the price would be very high, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to stop whales from purchasing them from time to time. :P
I used to be part of the 4/1 golden pack club. However, after the last adventure pre-order I got lucky and got a golden Illidan (not so lucky lol), a rare, and an epic. I think I've opened 3 total gold classic packs in my lifetime.
Why does anyone care about golden cards? All I hear F2P players say about golden cards is how dumb the person with those golden cards and decks are. Nothing but hate for that which they wish they had.

F2P players want golden cards because they can be disenchanted and replaced with non-golden cards that they actually want. They bascially just act as wild cards for you cash in as you wish
I do not believe they have a pity timer but I do believe that something is different about their drop rates for I have opened about three and gotten a legendary from two of them one being Hogger and the other Edwin. Also seem to more commonly drop epic cards too but it may just be lots of luck.
Edit: I am most likely wrong about the differing drop rates, it is just a theory.
They surely have their own pity timer, as for drop rates I'm pretty sure it's the same formula as a regular pack. I've opened 5 of them and viewed countless others on streams. It's usually 4 commons and a rare just as you'd expect from any normal pack. As normal Epics and Legendary can happen but it appears to be rarely.
On a side note I wish they would give these packs out more often and consider making some golden packs for current expansions instead of just classic. It's such a cool swag but they seldom ever have events or promotions that give them out. Most people who've even been playing HS since it's release 3 years ago have not gotten more than 3 gold packs. That's mighty stingy...

I don't know myself. And so I currently still have a golden pack unopened out of some weird OCD or something lol

IMO Golden Classic pack has separate pity timer. At least at pitytracker.com it does.

I wonder if Blizzard is going to start selling golden packs individually in the future...

Does golden packs give a legendary in the first 10 pack?

Just opened my pack and no big surprise. One rare 4 common.

After this post I couldnt resist any longer and opened it.
Golden Murloc Warleader (Epic).
Can't complain at that! :-)
Hah! Nice.
GG gonna be one hell of a high class Murloc deck lol.

For Golden Packs I don't know, but the pity timer for golden legendaries on normal packs is about 375, someone ran some tests on Reddit.
