I have a Fireside Gathering set up locally to open my DOD Packs early, I just don't know the official launch time of the event, I'm assuming 1PM EST as usually that's how Blizzard rolls, but I can't find anything confirming this. Anyone got an idea? Thanks in advance.

Is there any benefit (or harm) in opening your packs early than waiting for actual release date?
Nope. It's a casual thing that happens every time (i mean the pre-release event).
