I know it's been less than a full day since release, but what are your experiences so far? Any deck you looked forward to that disappointed? Any that exceeded expectations?
For me:
Quest druid: It's about as powerful as I imagined it would be, which to say incredibly powerful. So far, the only deck I've lost to was some weird shadowform control priest.
Quest rogue: I feel disappointed. It looked like it would be very strong pre-release. Not as strong as quest druid, but I'm still disappointed to see it struggle against so many decks.
Big spell mage: Not even sure if it's gonna be competitive even after card adjustments. It's a fun meme deck, but I still have yet to win with it. I just get out tempoed by shaman and druid.
These are the three I had enough dust for. I'm looking forward to try out quest paladin when I have enough cards.
Quest paladin is disgusting. It does badly against aggro (or at least the version I came up with does) but once you complete the quest it's completely broken. I have a 100% win rate against slow decks and none of the games were even close.
I'm experiencing mixed feelings about the first day of the expansion. On the one hand, I'm loving the Highlander decks, and other fun decks that can be tried out or even perfected, like Plot Twist Warlock and Taunt Warrior.
On the other hand however, I've met very few original decks on ladder last night. They were almost all decks that have been played by streamers, with a clear abundance of Quest Rogue and Quest Shaman. I've played against one Taunt Warrior (insanely powerful, very underrated), which was fun. It's like nobody takes the time to make their own decks anymore, and just rip off of others. I know that's what ladder is supposed to be about, to find those best decks, but man, I got fed up with Bazaar Burglary into Clever Disguise into Blink Fox into Hench-Clan Burglar real quick.
Decks that I find most fun are Big Spell Mage, Plot Twist Warlock and Highlander Hunter.

So I have very similar thoughts to yours re Quest Rogue and Big Spell Mage. I played about three games with Quedt Rogue and it was pretty meh really it took me ages to get the quest online but I will play it some more over the next few days and try refine the list
big mage is hella fun, but prob a tier three at best
One deck that really surprised me was big duel pally, I went something like 5-1 and I thought it would just be memes all the way but it kicks some serious butt.
Zoo is going to be really really strong. That new EVIL three drop and the vulture are very good. Several games ended by turn five and six.
Reno Hunter seems a legit tier one deck. Lucky for me cause I pulled a golden Brann last night :)
And Quest Shaman is about as strong as everyone thought it would be. Won’t be long before we start seeing the nerf threads for this.
So yeah, that’s really all I had time to do on day one.
I agree with you that Quest Druid is unbelievably strong. I'm missing key cards rn (Crystal Merchant, Anubiseth Defender, Keeper Stalladris) and it's still blowing people out of the water. i think one of the most ridiculous things you can do is get a third Starfall off of Worthy Expedition and just break boards over and over.
I also played a Mech/Quest Paladin hybrid, which honestly doesn't make any sense to me. There's just not enough good neutral reborn minions to justify the hassle of playing 2 copies of something like Candlebearer. I ended up just resorting to playing regular Mech Paladin most of the time because i couldn't draw the final reborn minion to close out the quest. Murmy feels great to play early, however.
As far as other hyped quests, the shamans I've been playing don't seem to be able to get their game plan in order if they don't draw the Evil Totem or if you kill it the turn it was summoned. It seems like it all just comes down to getting the shudderwock out after that, which is nothing new.

Oh, that sounds like a fun quest druid deck. Mind linking it? the one I use is more token focused.
I have played Quest Druid, Quest Hunter, and Quest Paladin up until now, and I really like every single one of them. Quest Druid is probably not refined enough even though everyone tried to make it, but I really think it will be a Tier 1 or 2 deck. Quest Paladin is a bit fragile against aggro, but it generates a boatload of value later. Quest Hunter can really snowball and it was my best win rate deck. The attack buff really makes every board a must-remove. I even won against a Control Warrior.
On the other hand, playing against lots of rogues, I don't see Quest Rogue as too good of a deck and am not sure why everyone and their mother keeps playing it. Quest Shaman is really strong, but I literally ran over it with Quest Hunter and I feel Zoo can accomplish the same. Right now, I'd say Zoolock looks very strong since it has so much firepower. Also, Control Warrior is here to stay for sure - new Rush reborn is a hell of a card.

Ok, i've never shared a deck before so i hope that works.
I just played against a really aggressive murloc shaman and won, so i think the deck can survive as long as you pick up a hidden oasis on curve or have a starfall ready when the quest triggers. Just kill things like underbelly angler immediately with bees or wrath.
Keep in mind that this is a budget deck because i'm F2P. The microtech controller is amazing with tending tauren, but i would probably take it out if i had Stalladris. Other cards like power of the wild etc can go if you have a crystal merchant.
I play only Wild, so Zephrys was the only thing I crafted yesterday and boy is it good. Renolock is my favorite deck ever and part of the reason why is because there isn't much rng with it, but this new card has rng that can be manipulated nicely in your favor. Saved me a bunch of games already (discovered Twisting Nether and Brawl once, one game I got Frost Nova on turn 5 and played Reno next turn etc.)
I am having most fun with reno mage atm it's pretty much the only deck I can get to work along with quest hunter as I got it free but I am using kiwis otk list for that which is fun.
Reno mage is so fun I struggle against quest rouge but have beating most other things, no seems to play around the new mage secret they always think that is counter spell. I also dont have kaligos and it still works.

These are the three I had enough dust for. I'm looking forward to try out quest paladin when I have enough cards.
Agreed on both Quest Druid and Quest Rogue.
Went from 15 to 5 with Quest Druid on the first day. I didn't track b/c I was on mobile, but I wouldn't be surprised if my w/r was in the 70-80% range. I did not lose very often.
Quest Druid is very good. It'll just need to figure out what it's best end game is for whatever the meta ends up being. The deck mostly builds itself, and there are about 6-8 cards you can tweak to change it's late game.
Quest Rogue was disappointing. I think it needs to figure out (1) is the quest actually as good as it looks like it should be (2) how to be built without giving up on the tools that made rogue so successful in the first place.
Warrior variants still look good, and I think that is a deck to be concerned about. I wouldn't be surprised if Conjurer's Mage is still good. I can see a world where it should be very good against Quest Druid.
Murloc Paladin is surprisingly not bad. It's pretty middle of the road, IMO. But with the right prismatic lens draw, it's actually scary.
Quest Shaman is pretty good, but I think it'll need some tweaking. Lackeys are certainly good in the early game, but not as good as some other decks who don't have to skip their Turn 1. It may end up being a deck, where like Taunt Warrior back in the day, sometimes you mulligan the quest.
Those are some of my initial impressions. I'm going to screw around with some new stuff on the Rank 5 floor today just to see what's up.

I think the main problem with Quest Rogue, is that it lacks a solid win-condition. It aims to control the board, with the Quest's reward, which is something that Rogue really needed. But the problem is what Thief Rogue always had: no finishers. I think we'll win see draw-heavier variations, with Chef Nomi as a win-con, or maybe a Pogo-Hopper-variant.

Quest rogue is good I am not sure u know how to play it if ur that bad at it. I think priest is broken one creature survives its gg I think hunter is kinda crappy mage is way to slow for quest warlock is nuts if u get quest off with Rafaam. Shaman is just broken as hell good luck if the person plays it right haven’t seen warrior all I saw same old boring bomb warrior
I didn't have much time yesterday but I went 9-1 with quest rogue. I only lost to a druid who started with double bees and 2x the 5-5 rushers. The problem with quest rogue is people aren't playing it right. Shadow of death is easily the best new rogue card. Combine with Leeroy and Myras and have fun with an insanely broken combo.

I think that sounds about right. I forgot how to win in Rogue without Waggle Pick + Leeroy lol
Nah, Rogue isn't dead. This expansion just didn't add much to the 'old' list (Lakey Rogue). Deck doesn't go from top tier to bottom tier all of a sudden.
Same for Mage. 'Old' Conjurer's Mage i still strong imo. Again, expansion didn't add much to this deck.
Aaaaand also same for Control Warrior. Didn't get much from this expansion either. Maybe Tomb Warden?
Paladin Quest really got potential if you ask me. List(s) need to be more refined. I play Mecha'thunPaladin myself tho.
Warlock (Zoo Lock) seems strong to me. Again, list(s) need to be more refined. I also have tons of fun with Plot TwistWarlock. It performs better than expected (ft. Whitemane and Colossus of the Moon).
Quest Hunter, does someone have a list to start off with? Yesterday I ran into nothing but Mech or MR Hunter, both of which didn't feature a single new card. And guess what, they're still as powerful. I got totally destroyed as Quest Druid vs. the never-ending stream of removal that is available to MR Hunter (Shimmerfly into random Deadly Shot or Marked Shot into another one, anyone?) and if they hold Zul'jin once turn 10 has been reached you might as well concede.
Apart from that, Quest Druid feels surprisingly powerful and I clearly underestimated Crystal Merchant. Yeah, sometimes your opponent might remove it on the spot, especially when you're up vs. Priest (one of the few losses so far have been vs. Resurrect/Wall Priest, which is still the disgusting deck it's been a year ago...) but you can easily draw multiple cards off it. Yeah, there is no real endgame since cards such as Ancient of War or Cenarius are not good enough to be considered but many others feel somewhat broken.
Quest Warlock, eh I met a single one until now and it still feels utterly reliant on the draw order. Not much has changed since the introduction of Plot Twist. Apart from that you'll meet a few Zoolocks but it seems they didn't gain too much power. I'd argue that Token Druid (and especially Murloc Shaman) still remains the better choice.
Quest Warrior, I have mixed feelings about it. Sure, it doesn't compete with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and Bomb/Control Warrior are proven top dogs, so why would you want to follow a mediocre Tempo/wannabe-Aggro style of play? The reward is a mini-Jaraxxus heropower but that's it, no Rush, no Charge, nada. And cards such as Frothing Berserker or Darius Crowley which are the decks main threats are so easy to be removed, it's not even funny.
Quest Rogue, that's quite difficult to rate appropriately. If they get to rush the Quest it feels ridiculously strong, especially when you're playing a board-centric deck. Once I faced a very aggressive Quest/Hooktusk hybrid with the new Hooked Scimitar (SMOrc Clap) and their swing turns sometimes caught me off guard but I managed to beat it.
Quest Paladin, not much to say. They tend to crumble vs. aggressive decks but as soon as the Quest is completed you better make sure they don't have eggs to copy (or hold Kangor's Endless Army) or it's game over.
Finally, Mage... the deck lists are a complete mess. Of course, some people are still using the same old Cyclone/Giants shell while others went for the greed route with an abundance of big spells, namely Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron + King Phaoris. Also, the old Dragon Mage has returned! It's still highly fragile when it comes to the Aggro match-up but I have a feeling that this is the best of both worlds.
