bombs are considered spell cards so I dont see why they wouldnt count. Which is one of the few reasons why i personally was a tad disappointed in these cards. But then again there could be an interaction exception made, who knows.
Just make the unbeliable strong and unnerfed bomb warrior even better, great logic.
It is so simple to solve, just release a 2 manas 2/3 minion with battlecry "Remove all bombs from your deck, you gain 20 armor for each bomb removed this way" and it is done.
...aren’t they completely nullified by bomb warrior? Or it doesn’t count? Cause if it does, they probably won’t see any play in the meta.
They won't see play even if you nerfed bomb warrior to oblivion, the deck restriction alone makes those cards useless in standard. Wild Renomage does gain a great card, but still is tier 4 till Barnes/big priest finally gets nerfed.
Peter Whalen on Twitter confirmed that if you have 2 or more Bombs in the deck the "no duplicate" effect won't work.
So, unless Bomb Warrior is somehow unviable, these cards will only see play in Wild.
Im glad they designed a mechanic for 4 classes, the main characters of the expansion, get shit on by a new archetype from last expansion that was and still is tier 1
I don't think Bomb Warrior is the biggest concern for these new cards. Currently the no duplicates restriction is too much in standard play as the card quality is too sparse to make a competitive highlander deck. These new legendaries are not worth that condition without more support. Still loads of cards to be revealed so reserve judgment until that time.
Bomb Warrior is going to be a counter to these specific cards, correct, like how Beneath the Grounds was a counter to the original Reno and Kazakus. That doesn't mean the decks are a total write off because of this - there is every possibility that a new archetype will annihilate Bomb Warrior and create hostility towards it in the meta, paving the way for these new Highlander decks to shine (personally I think they will be janky af regardless of Bomb Warrior but there is hope).

Blizzard will probably come out with rule that bombs don't apply or something like that.

i think many people will switch to wild format after this expansion hits
Maybe there's a card on the way that destroys every duplicate in your deck
There is another sovle to this problem - nerf bomb warrior to the ground. Though i don't like it.
So it seems that these new no-copies-cards are wild-only.

Yea I only play highlander decks in wild so bomb warrior is one of the big counters to my game swings :'(

There could be a card like "Start of Game: If your deck has no duplicates, it can never have"
