I hate it how after playing hearthstone forever i still so often losing games by not understanding blizzards logic...
Like right now. I play against a priest with my murloc shaman. Its turn 4 and i have 4 Murlocs on the board...i think...ok well...he might Mass Hysteria on his turn 5, lets at least benefit from it. I play Slitfin Spiritwalker "whenever another friendly Murloc dies, draw a card. Overload: (1)".
Since all my minions have low HP and Slitfin has i, i think that in the best case i get 4 cards from it in the worst case maybe 1-2..
Turns out everything around him died and he was within the last 2 minions that attacked each other and i was left with an empty board and didnt draw a single card...
yeah fuck that. Why do i try to think when i play my turn.
If i am not mistaken, many effects don't have minions die in order but rather at the same time. If he survived, you would have drawn cards.
It would be the same with any other boardclear killing everything, so I think it works fine, even though the attacks being simultanious could be confusing.

Well, you already know what your problem is: you dont understand Blizzard's logic, or rather you dont understand game mechanics.
Just cause animations play out in a certain way doesnt mean what happens actually corresponds to what ur seeing 1:1.
There are event chains and nested even chains and most things work pretty well and can be understood with relative ease, if you take time studing the problem, or play long enough to spot how things work from practice (which apparently is not your case, sorry).
Mass Hysteria is a board clear, all minions attack each other and when they all attacked, then and only then do the death resolve checks happen. And in that moment, all minions are dead, they all died in that same moment, in that same moment when death resolve checks happened, so you didnt draw any cards.
Look at a different, but pretty much the same, scenario which might be better for you to understand how it works:
You have a 2/2, 6/2, 1/1 and a Cult Master on board. Your opponent plays Consecration > all minions die at the same time > you dont draw any cards. Make sense, right? The mechanic is the same as for Mass Hysteria, only Mass Hysteria has a different animation that for unexperienced player can look like all those things are happening one after the other, while they r happening at the same time, only there is no good way to visualise them simultaneously.
I hope i helped you understand the issue a bit better. If you really want to understand how things work in general, i suggest you read up on it, for example here - HS: Advanced rulebook.

its perfect logic. they just don't attack each other all at once because it would look horrible animation wise
