Since the release of the Rush keyword Team 5 hasn't released a single Charge card. Do you think they will ever print a Charge card again, and if not, is this a bad thing or not?
Blizz / Team 5 already mentioned a while ago, that they don't like the charge mechanis and will be very econimical with printing such cards. So I don't think, we will see interesting charge cards (and if so, they wil sure be unplayable).
they should nerf actual charge cards and give them rush. bye leeroy lethal out of nowhere, bye random huffer killing you etc... i ll be very happy, also some free dust for myself
I think they'll still print some conditional chaarge minions eventually. Charged Devilsaur for example was a pretty fair card that allowed for some neat combos.
They can also indirectly support by printing more cards like Kathrena Winterwisp
The main reason why they don't print much charge anymore is because it's a boring mechanic that doesn't really allow for creative design. CAn't print them well-statted because they'd end up in a brainlesss bummrush deck, meaning we get garbage like Chillblade Champion. Rush is much lesss aggressive and can be applied in different ways.
Charge should be reserved for big win conditions like Grom, King Krush and the occasional Leeroy...aka 1-of Legendaries that don't allow you to just run down your opponent without punishment.
I'm still waiting for them to change Stonetusk Boar into a vanilla 2/1 Beast (which unironically would make it much more useful than it is now)
I think they will, but they will be very careful how they design such cards. Charged Devilsaur comes to mind as an interesting example. It wasn't played at all back in Un'Goro with the exception in Moat Lurker quest druid, I believe, but it gained a lot of popularity with the implementation of the broken recruit keyword (in quest cube druid, recruit hunter).
Also, I am not saying that we will see Charge minions next expansion, but in a distant, distant future.
Kinda disappointed and it's a joke really. The card "charge" doesn't even give charge. I mean what the hell?! No really charge is fine. The reason why people hate charge is because you cant interact with it. But let me tell you - there is more interaction with charge than with fireball or pyroblast. The only difference is that the body is left behind witch to be honest is huge but don't tell me you cant interact with it. Play a taunt. We had less interuptiontools against combo. I'm a diehard controlplayer but let's be real - aggro needs some sirious love now. All the great aggrotools are gone. On a sidenote i rather get killed by a leeroy then a fireball or pyroblast...
No, they probably won't as there is so much cheese with the mechanic. These guys will make sure the mechanic will be far from dead, however:
They should honestly just completely gut/rework Tundra Rhino. The card is the bane of the Hunter class and probably the reason why we don't get good beasts anymore. midrange Hunter doesn't even need it, but it's too good not to be run because whenever it actually sticks it basically wins the game by snowballing...also makes Scavenging Hyena way stronger than it needs to be and I don't want that card to get nerfed instead.
I'm a diehard controlplayer but let's be real - aggro needs some serious love now.
You really don't sound like a Control player lol.
In any case, no: we've come from an year that was equally split between aggro (Odd Rogue, Odd Pala, first Even Pala, HealLock, Dire Mole into Crackling Razormaw, Quest Rogue again, Odd Aggro Mage... did I miss any?) and OTK (every possible form of Druid, every possible form of Malygos, Uther OTK, Shirvallah OTK, Cloning Priest) with some sprinkles of Odd Warrior (just why?), casual midrange and like 2 Control deck. All this in 12 months.
Aggro will never die due to the good package in Basic and Classic set, but

"The Naaru have not forgotten us!"
I didn't notice they had changed the text on Fluffy Boarloc, and was very confused for a moment.
If I remember correctly they said, that they don't want charge,,, And I agree with them

Charge has clearly been abandoned. But i saw it could returnin a different way.
Heres a custom card i found that shows how a new charge minion could work

If you have a deck idea might as well go full ham on it.
I hate it. Bring back CHARGE

I would be fine with conditional charge
This. The Hogriders from MSoG were a cool way to do charge minions, and I wouldn't mind seeing more experimentation with the mechanic in that way.
And I'm fine with charge minions being few and far between.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

I'm flabbergasted! Why this? Can you show on the doll where the mean Boar touched you?
SMOrc players crying over missed refill for their decks. Hilarious. Now we just need some OTK disruption and we'll be fine for the next months.

A litle disappointing as not all of the charge cards are a problem, e.g. korkron, argent commander
Quest Rogue mainly. they already said it limits design space by being a 1/1 charger so it's just a matter of time

I want to lose to something different and possibly not on turn 6
Topsy priest comes to mind as a bad use of stonetusk
