B-B-bu-but blizzard says, you are stupid. And I am stupid. And all the other players are stupid...*shrug*
Of course it would unproblematic, but Blizzard has troubles making this game newbie friendly, which is why everyone suffers from their "the community is too stupid" approach. A fine and fitting tutorial that would explain all mechanics would prevent this. Carefully explaining modes and the shop/questlog AND add a reminder whenever you buy wild packs would be much more work to do for a too little gain. And blizzard currently gives a shit about convenience and comfort functions. As long as the money rolls in, they won't.
You can buy them but only for money. Even if that doesnt suit you, the problem can be solved easily. Spend the gold on any current expansion - lets say the new one coming out next month - and with the dust you get from duplicates, craft the few cards you need from the past expansion.
Thanks for reply. Yeah i saw that you can buy them for real money online. So its that the catch, is battlenet making more money this way?
I understand how to get dust. I still think its stupid and dont see an other reason for hearstone to do it.
Cant buy with coins! You buy pack with real money? damn...
Really? Is that your answer to my post? Jesus... You clearly weren't even aware of the possiblity of buying packs with real money through Battle.net when you started this thread, so do not try to look smart now, bro. ;)

I did not!, But i did before your post. And i think you also now that that was not the point. And you begon with the smart ass thing. Guess i need to be very very specific for stupid people here ;). Maybe a repost, But here for you:
Got a legendary, wanna build a new deck and need some card of streets of gadgetzan. Cant buy them With Gold and got lot more gold than dust.
Part of the forum experience is being Sherminated.
The rule, I think is simple. if you can't see the card packs through the in-game UI, you cant buy them for gold. it's real money, craft the cards you want or nothing. Unfair? Maybe. Blizzard is a profit-driven company effectively, they're funneling you to standard only packs in-game is not an accident.
I'm not sure what the advantage of not allowing gold purchases is (then again these are the same people who don't want to 'confuse' us with 18 deck slots or nerfs that change card text) If you are considering wild, you likely have a near complete classic set so those packs should yield adequate dust.

Well, i think old packs being unavailable for gold is ok: if you want to fill up a niche set (the whole Wild is sadly niche), it is fair you pay for it with money - and you can still craft single cards, which is the optimal option for game purposes.
It is, afterall, the principle of luxury: rarity implies high costs.
Another story is the fact that Wild content is only available in B.net. i understand they do it to keep the shop as clean as possible, but actually Wild needs some spotlight...

I really can't see the advantage of not selling the old cards for battlenet!
More options for wild players, more people who still buy old packs with real money, more income.
(need sleep with the fishes for a control warrior deck)
Is this a joke or what?

Wonder what other people think.
If you need the one card, just craft it. Who knows how many packs it would take to get that card.

I am sad that you can not unlock the old adventures for gold. The money price is just to high when you do not need the cards.

Sherman give us poor people some money to buy packs from b.net LUL
Just Another Legend Player#Kappa
He wants to buy the packs with gold though.
And to be fair, a lot of people are unaware the old sets are still available on b.net
Ehm i still had previous Expansions not fully unlocked but the rule is if you unlocked at least 1 wing you can unlock other wings with Gold.
