I'm a player since KoFT, not the best but at least a brave one.
I'm wondering something in these days: The "crying" thread, where everyone can says everything about their nightmares...
I'm wondering: Why these people know that the game is shit (or just believe that) but keep playing?
Maybe, they use Hearthstone as a way to keep away the frustation of the real life, raging here and there just to not do that in the real life against other people/objects. What i don't understand, is that in the real life the RNG is a thing. You everyday get stress from random events, but you don't just scream or break object. At least, not me. But when i take hearthstone into my hands, i feel all of my rage growing. Like if this game is the only game where I am able to rage. Maybe because there isn't a real consequences to offenses.
But i don't say that this game is shit. It have problems, a lot. But it make me fun, using Tess Rogue in standard ladder and encounter only ROGUE makes me happy, because how it's possible that in 30 game using zoolock i don't face Rogue and when i switch to Tess, the first, second and third rogue appear?
So, to me Hearthstone is a place where people feel they have the right to rage. And it doesn't matter if they say that is shit, they keep playing. I don't like to rage, obv, i try to have fun when i lose because i know every moves the opponent is ready to make (a little frustrating)
Hi The. Because people do not like to get manipulated.Thats why they rage alot, and they keep playing because they like the game. But probably not the community and the gamble side of it, where the "casino" always wins. They expect some rng, but on a normal level. A card here and there, some missplays, some bad draws, but not A STREAK of rapes. This is my opinion.

The main reason I play is to feel good about adapting different decks against opponents, and improving my collection over the long run. I rage someitmes, but over the long run I've had a lot more positive experiences with this game than negative ones.

Yes is a strange things, i don't know another TCG game where the meta is rock paper scissors. But the other games have their 2/3 meta decks and STOP. No tier 2/3, only 2-3 decks in tier 1. Maybe Blizzard made the game fair, balancing the 9 classes to create more tier decks. But we are used to the 1/2 decks of other games?
People rage in other games also, it's nothing exclusive of Hearthstone. I have never seen a game whose community is not whining about something in the game.

That's true, but for a lot of people (and friends of mine), raging in other games is not the same.

Have you seen people going absolutely insane in Dota 2 and LoL ?
I can rage pretty bad in this game. HS is really the only game that makes me really damn angry haha. Its hard to pinpoint why this is the only game. But its triggers me like hell
I dont know how many times i just wanted to throw my ipad/phone into the wall after some games in hs.
Are you using google translate? the way you write is incoherent/broken sometimes.
Anyway, I don't think it's exclusive to HS but exclusive to online multiplayer games, at least in my experience. It's pathetic to rage over something so trivial but at the same time that only adds to the anger and frustration. You feel emotionally invested in the game and feel cheated when you lose through luck or someone playing a degenerate deck.

I red op's post twice and still i have no idea what's his point is.
Maybe that people have the right to rage? Well duh... No one will stop raging because random dude on the internet told them to stop nor they will ask a permission to do so..

What? No, i'm trying to understand why people play, rage, say that the game is shit and that everyone should delete it, play.
I think RNG is the biggest culprit. I'll use an example. Yesterday I was playing this weeks tavern brawl. I was using mage and my opponent was using mage. I had 2 fireballs in my hand and 3 minions on the board. My opponent had burned all his cards and had 1 small 1/1 on board and 19 health while I had 4 health. I had lethal next turn as long as he didn't pull a spell like a frostbolt or another fireball.
Well Hearthstone in it's infinite RNG decided to go ONE step further! He played this card (can't remember the name, think it's from the new set) where it randomly summons 3 minions on board (I think their mana cost was capped at like 3 or 4 or something too). Anyways what does he get? A flametongue totem RIGHT next to the 1/1 he had on board to have EXACT lethal!!!! IF the three minions spawned in ANY other order, I win but RNG raped me.
I laughed cause it was only a stupid Tavern brawl match so I just had to play one more match to finish it for the week. But that is the TYPE of situation that causes peoples blood to boil.

Against a tempo mage with 8 cards in the deck, i had 9 healt. He was without cards in hands or minions into board. Topdeck pyroblast.
This game is pissed me off so much before that I've dusted entire classes just because they've nerfed one card. I have over 1k ranked pally wins, but I dusted the entire fing class when they Nerfed call to arms from a 4 to 5 cost. Not a super big deal, but I was playing Genn pally, and that was the end of that 71 percent WR deck, and every pally card I had.... Which I had every single pally card. Do I regret it, sometimes, but then a thought crosses my mind, that I wouldn't have started exploring other classes, like warrior, if I didn't dust it all to hell.

Like me ahahhaa, dusted tempo mage (aluneth + piroblast) like 4/5 times because i hate that deck but i needed easy wins.
