I know, people will call me crazy, but I really hate it when I play 2 days at rank 3 without making any progress because all the decks I tried have around 50 50.
I tried in order : cubelock, odd paly, odd rogue, deathrattle hunter, zoolock, miracle rogue. All win a game or 2 and then lose a game or 2. I just can't get any streak going because everytime I face something different: 1 game is control, the next might be aggro or combo, or even some meme decks (that can actually work amazing with a little bit of luck) It's way to hard to win consistently.
I literally can not climb. I just ant to play a deck that wins more than it looses. Is that too much to ask ?

Learn to play, and then learn to use the search function. There's a salty thread, this goes there
Meta always seems balanced at first, in a week or 2 we will be back to a Cancerfest on Ladder as usual once ppl find the strongest deck of each archetype.

First of all: I am a many times legend player. It's not like I am the best player in the world but I know how to play alright ?!
Second of all: this is not a salt thread, although I might seemed a little salty.
This an actual problem. I talked with a lot of people in my game friends list and they all said the same thing: they are stuck at their current rank for hours or days.
I think we need a more powerful deck to make climbing easier.
have fun playing 30 minutes games vs warrior and druid.. I feel sorry for the new players. The timesink to reach legend is going to be back to what it was before the rank floor reset.
Glad it takes me 30-60 mins to do the daily quest and its log out. There isn't a reason to even play beyond that anymore. I used to just farm 100g a day with token decks in wild but thats gone now...takes to long. 60-70 gold a day for the quest and 3 wins thats 1800-2100 gold a month x 4 so 72-84 free packs for the next xpan plus whatever they give away. 80 packs is 100 bucks so i guess thats not bad for playing 30-60 mins a day while taking a dump or waitin in line at the store or a multitude or other daily timewasters in life. The devs don't get it. The game needs new modes not new cards. The game is basically the same as it was during closed beta. They keep doing this its not going to change. Enjoy the same decks with 3 new cards in them.....god boredom. I play decks with 60% new cards just for the meme value. Sad but the game is very stale and I see it not getting any better.
There are ways to consistently win. Otherwise all the legend grinders would be out in arms about how apparently impossible it is to get above a 50% winrate now.
You just need to pick a deck that you like, you know well, does decently well across the board, and counter queues the most prevalent decks on ladder.
I'm been using big warrior. Struggles against zoo, so it's not the best to ladder with, but it beats almost all of the slower and combo decks with a combination of armor and fatigue (dmh ftw). Also stands a chance against zoo if i find my clears, armor, and recruit my big taunts (I run the damaged stegatron) in a timely manner. Rank 3 atm
I am casual, and personally I have no problem with any meta. I have issues with specific decks.
At this point I am so burnt out on copy/paste tier decks I just stick to my OTK Velen deck and grind as far as I can in a season.
If the meta is stale for you, fix it, a new set just came out. Be creative. I am working on a new deathrattle deck for wild because I don't like the meta. Don't just complain and wait for someone to pat your head and say it will be better.
People here don't understand because many don't even care about ranks and stuff.
I know the majority just plays for fun and is happy if one game out of n it manages to do some powerful combo they enjoy.
People like me play for the joy of winning, and for the pleasure of ranking.
It's pure math: in a very balanced meta (like it is right now) is much harder to rank up then in a "broken" meta. Because having a deck with 60 percent winrate means a few less hours to grind for each rank vs a deck with 52 percent win rate.
It's not the deck that is losing, it's you that is losing. Half of your matchups are going to be unfavorable. In order to get >50% wr, you will need to win some unfavorable matchups from time to time.
I suggest stepping away from the thread for an hour, coming back later and then hoping there's not more responses to your embarassing outburst.
1. Blizzard is not responsible for the decks that people come up with. They may nerf dominant strategies in about 2-3 months.
2. Play a deck that gets on board early and buffs said board to close out the game to reduce the overall legend grind
3. If that does not work out for you, record your matchups and pick decks that do well vs what you are facing. Make sure to have sufficient sample size.
4. Ignore everything I said and use the salt thread as has already been recommended above
It's not the deck that is losing, it's you that is losing.
Sorry to say but these kind of comments are just useless.
How do you even know it's my fault for losing ? Did you watch me play ?
I am telling you it's not me. The thing is can not find a deck that has decent win rate vs all archetypes:
- some decks are very powerful vs control like hunter or otk decks. but they are fragile to aggro.
- some decks are ok vs aggro like control decks, but then you lose to otk.
Last expansion we had decks like cubelock, that were both anti aggro and anti control at the same time. But cubelock isn't as good as before these days.

Because you have to rely on skill and rng rather than having a deck that is just more broken than others? This is a sad day, if that is really your argumentation. How can you even feel joy in winning when it's the deck that's actually winning your games.
This is my favourite expansion since BRM. I'm having blast creating decks no one is using and greatly confused by the ladder because there are so many kinds of decks. It's a fun challenge to figure out how to beat them and it's nice knowing that you don't have to net-deck to win.
If laddering to get to legend is all you care about then play zoo or make a face hunter. There's also odd pally which is a guaranteed +60% WR (unless you suck balls).
I know, you just tilting, but, man, srsly, it s not worst meta, even it s not meta now, just 1st week and every deck has a chance, and, if all decks have 50% wr it s best meta, lol.
Oh, about worst, people forget bullshit with undertaker and smorkstone when turn 4 was the end? We have so many "worst" meta, and i agree with: undertaker meta, patron otk shit, pirate meta, shamenstone and most stupid shit i ve ever seen - druidstone after kotft. See, witchwood and boomsday not so worst even not bad if you remember darkest times.
I think the problem is meta is too balanced !

Blizzard kinda messed up this expansion.

TL;DR : "I lost few games, so worst meta ever. REEEEEEEEE"

Cute, ineffective, but cute.
You're upset because there isn't a deck that only has 1 or no counter. Boo-hoo

if the meta is balanced it's gives more place to skill so maybe it's only me but i actually think it's a good thing.
This topic pops up literally every expansion.
Ok I give up.
Like I said, people here don't care or don't understand.
It would have been a lot more constructive if you posted your decks that you reached legend with instead of blindly sending e to salt thread.
That way every people could benefit from seeing possible powerful strategies they might have overlooked.

Variety is good for the game...deal with it.
