With people already cracking open their Asia server Golden Packs, I'm curious as to whether anybody's figured out whether the pity timer of ordinary Classic Packs influences the Golden Pack's pity timer. While it may be difficult to test for Legendaries, I imagine it wouldn't be quite as hard to see how it works for Epics (open 9 classic packs without getting an Epic and then open the Golden Pack).
Is this a thing or not? While I'm personally not going to open my Golden Pack (I like shiny things), I'd like to see if you can actually "rig" the opening of a Golden Pack by getting extremely close to, if not right on the pity timer of the normal Classic Packs.
Has anybody done a test like this yet? I'd love to hear about your findings.

With the twitch prime golden pack blizzard said that the golden pack has a separate pity timer, which could mean 2 things:
Ah, I see. I expected as much.
