Odd Paladin is still one of the top decks in the meta also you still see some murloc, zoo and token druid. Lastly although more of a tempo deck type the spiteful decks frequently use decent swarming that board clears and taunts help against.
If you are not facing these decks go ahead and tech more control but there are still plenty of aggro and tempo decks in the meta.
You don't, and shouldn't, capitalise meta. Hope this helps.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
Not a bad thought. I'm still running a couple of Doomsayers, Plated Beetles, Tar Creepers, and Rotten Applebaums in my big spell Mage. Lately it feels like I've had to dump them to avoid hand size issues more often than I've actually gotten early value out of them. I may drop a couple of those cards in favor of late game value. Maybe even start running a second Skulking Geist (I'm seeing a ton of taunt druids for some reason).
That's why it's a control meta, and why they tech anti-aggro cards. Odd Paladin isn't the only one, either. In that past couple of days, I've played a fair few Odd Hunters, Aggro Druids and Zoolocks. You take the tech out, it's GG.

Is it merely my impression that the current META is dominated by hardcore control decks?
If so, why are most decks teched to the teeth as if they'd play in an aggro-wheenie horde META.
Just wondering - the only aggro deck based on small minions I encounter once in a bluemoon is the odd (no pun intended) Baku Paladin.
Personally I have teched out some anti-aggro tools and haven't regretted it.

Seems pretty equal to me, in the Aggro-Midrange-Control spectrum. I'm seeing them all.
The Dark Pact and Possessed Lackey nerfs went a long way in enabling midrange again.

Control > Aggro when control techs against aggro
Aggro > Control when it doesn't
