Sup Hearthpwners, been away for a few months and just got back to the game. The Witchwood expansion is looking pretty dope and I do have a few questions to make!
1. What are great decks that I can build from the new meta?
2. What are the best legendaries in the new expansion? Is there a thread where I can find a list on them?
3. Do I need to buy about 20 packs to try and fill in commons and rares, or I can manage the important cards through crafting? I'm sitting at almost 6k dust at the moment. Loved the Hall of Fame dust gift when logging in!
4. Is Cubelock really taking over the meta? How about Even Paladin and Rush Warrior? Good decks?
5. Honestly, any information and tips given would really be appreciated! Thank you!!!
For the long read you should check out: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-89/ Not much of a reader? Check out only the vsPowerRankings and vsMeta Score in the link above. This should give you a pretty good idea.
Witchwood IS looking pretty dope, but the powerlevel of Kobolds & Catacombs is making it that only few Witchwood cards actually see play in competitive. Also, most of the decks from the previous meta dominate. Only Greymane is seeing a lot of play from the legendaries and a priority craft if you like Paladin (although Murlocs are about as strong so not really needed). Anyways, Vicious Syndicate provides decklists for all the prevalent archetypes, so you should be well on your way by checking that out. (They release one of these reports every week by the way, on thursdays)
Prob better off just waiting another 20 ish days until the nerfs hit before settin up a deck. I'd say just get a feel of what's out there with what you have now.
1. check out vicious syndicate and find a deck you like
2. genn and baku
3. don't know, depends on your collection and what deck you end up with
4. cube is strong but there's a lot of tech against it. i switched to control warlock because my skull kept dying to Harrison Jones. there's a good chance some cards in it will be nerfed so it's not a super safe deck to craft. even paladin is a very strong aggro midrange deck with a lot of powerful tools. rush warrior sees some play but the deck doesn't seem great. If it looks fun to you it's worth playing.
5. play around silence, play around weapon destruction, people are packing lots of tech these days.

Baku the Mooneater and Genn Greymane are THE best cards in all of the Witchwood, and you can use them in basically all of the top tier decks
1. check out vicious syndicate and find a deck you like
2. genn and baku
3. don't know, depends on your collection and what deck you end up with
4. cube is strong but there's a lot of tech against it. i switched to control warlock because my skull kept dying to Harrison Jones. there's a good chance some cards in it will be nerfed so it's not a super safe deck to craft. even paladin is a very strong aggro midrange deck with a lot of powerful tools. rush warrior sees some play but the deck doesn't seem great. One good advice, stay away from this game, the meta is just so crappy right now and no, WW is a pretty bad and boring expansion.
