Just kidding. I’ve been running into the new Hadronox Taunt Druid a lot (rank 4) and have been having a really tough time beating it. Just wondering what strategies people have been using against it. I run Cubelock, Spiteful Druid, and a couple of different aggro decks, but danged if I run out of gas after the 6th Hadronox refill.
Honestly I was thinking a Shudderwock deck might be best. A OTK endgame that doesn’t care about taunts in the way...
Had decent success with Big Spell Mage. I usually will poly 1 big taunt, and then try to save the other poly to try to catch Hadronox, or a cube. Getting the 1 sheep in mix is the key, as it will make their Witching Hour a 50/50 instead of a guaranteed Hadronox.
Overall, I wouldn't call it a "counter" deck, because at best, it is a toss up, but it also does really well against Cubes and Spiteful, and destroys Paladin nearly every time.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
yup that it what I was gonna say. I play a Token Shudderwock Deck and it FARMS Hadronox.
Hex is the biggest reason, but they also have trouble dealing with large minions and I have ALL the large minions, and I run Black Knight, and MTC is pretty good against them. It is a free win every time.
Excellent points. I hadn’t planned on being able to hit the Hadronox with a Hex or a Polymorph due to Naturalize, but I forgot earlier frogs and sheep mess up the Witching Hour...
Skulking Geist lost some important targets, but he might be worth the slot to destroy Naturalize. (And Cornered Sentry summon three beasts, if you want to play Warrior.)
Rexxar DK: get bloatbat + poison minion, clears the whole board. If you can, play dire frenzy on that zombeast to shuffle 3 more board clears into your deck. That’s the best strategy for control hunter to beat taunt druid.
I have Geist and Polys in my deck. Draw a geist before they do their magic, and you win if you have poly in hand. But when you occasionally just don't draw the geist, there's usually 7 Hadronoxes on board total D: Endless wave of big taunts. Too much even for a big spell mage. Thankfully they sometimes res their sheep instead of hadro.

Anyone have anything else that’s been effective?

Quest Rogue
Any deck with hex or sheep is often GG

based on my experience a sheep or hex will be summoned by witching hour 100% of the time. every time.
Skulking Geist lost some important targets, but he might be worth the slot to destroy Naturalize. (And Cornered Sentry summon three beasts, if you want to play Warrior.)
Tinkmaster Overspark if you got no other minions around and just Hadronox, it is fatal.
It can still screw up Witching Hour if it morphs another of his minions, or you get the dino instead of a Squirrel.
Best of all, a neutral, and nobody expects it.
Cornered Sentry, Polymorph, Hex, or Tinkmaster Overspark.
Make the Card: The biggest thread on the site!
My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
Glad others said it. Tinkmaster, Cornered Sentry, Poly, and Hex all provide a possible counter to the deck’s primary combo.
Control Priest is supposed to be quite favorable versus it, as well.

Hex Polymorph Tinkmaster
