Really sucks to try new decks on ladder, the new year and rotation should bring a fresh meta and chance for new cards to find a home. Not to just instalose against a deck we've been bored with for 3 months already.
I don't understand why you would expect anything else. Unrefined decks lose on ladder in general unless you have some way to cheese somebody out. Cubelock is powerful and lost nothing, players who invested a lot of dust into a tier 1 deck probably still want to play it. If you get to farm wins off crappy decks that's just icing on the cake.
Cubelock didn't lose much so it remains a tier 1 deck, same for aggro paladin. Every other class is tier 2 or worse with sub 50% winrate. I can see both tier 1 classes getting nerfed in a few weeks.

You've played against cubelock?
After Guldan there is no N'zoth, so once you survive the first wave of minions you basically win.
Cards that beat Cubelock:
1. Polymorph/Hex
2. Silences
3. Weapon hate
4. Discard effects
5. Geist
