I'm confused about the actual expansion rotation. I'd like to craft some cards to standard ladder, but I'm not a dust-billionare, so I'd like to make it wise. I made some research about the rota, and most of the people mention MSoG will rotate out of standard, altough it was released in Dec 2016, but WotoG dates back to April 2016. I started playing much later, than these two expansions so I don't know much about them. According to the order WotoG should rotate out first, but I see no people talking about it. Is it some kind of special expansion which never rotates or the people in other threads are just generally wrong? So please, if someone could clarify things around rota I'd be grateful.
In April 2018, everything before Un'Goro will rotate out. That means: WotOG, Karazhan and MSoG. In April 2019, everything before the first expansion of 2018 will rotate out (Un'Goro, KFT and KaC).
It's always an entire year, usually 3 expansions, that rotate out. That means with the first expansion of 2018 Wotog, Msog and Karazhan rotate out, so in roughly 4 months.
What the others said above. In other words, don't be crafting Whispers of the Old Gods or Mean Streets of Gadgetzan cards or buying Karazhan's adventure if you're not planning on playing Wild mode. But then again, you still have 5 full months to use these cards.
Not true. You can craft things from the expansionsnrotating out since they're worth full dust when they rotate for 2 weeks usually. So you can craft from those sets and just get back your dust later on.

LOL, WTF??? That is not true. Think before posting please, if that were the case having a complete Standard collection would be a joke. But of course, it is not the case, such a thing never happened.

Either that or he's got hall of fame rotations mixed up with actual expansion rotations

This is 100% fake news. Just making sure people see it in case the other responses were not adequate.

You're thinking of the hall of fame rotations. We got dust those because we were under the impression they would always be standard. Since the sets that rotate out have always been expected to rotate out, we get no such treatment
