ever since sludge belcher and Loatheb, in addition to a few other cards here & there, it seems like the developers are scared to allocate decent power to the 5 slot, even the 6 slot seems pretty lacking as of late, but most decks i feel like you pretty much just skip over 5 mana altogether and i feel like that is a big problem for the game because this isn't new now, they've neglected 5 mana costs cards for quite some time now.

Check out my decks & feel free to make suggestions!
IMO the 5 drops are the hardest one to make, because they are not too expensive also not that cheap, they help you playing an extra card, thats why we are lacking good 5 drops, because i think a good 5 drop will dominate the meta, like Loatheb and Sludge Belcher, also Azure Drake

Yah man look at these weak ass 5 drops they've printed
Cobalt Scalebane
Bittertide Hydra
Let's see which decks don't run any 5 cost cards.
Well every version of druid runs nourish or living mana or hydra or whatever.
Every rogue deck runs vilespine and a lot of scalebane.
Paladin runs finja and scalebanes a lot
Every hunter runs Hydra and a lot run Tundra Rhino
Shaman runs bloodlust and dopple.
Every warlock runs Dreadlord.
But wait pirate warrior, oh wait that runs hydra and greenskin.
OH I GET IT.
So you were mentioning the entire meta you meant only some priest and mage decks. Got it. Decks that can easily run 5 mana cards if they want to.
Drakonid OP is 5 drop
The reason you can't let 5-drops get too crazy is because it's the highest-cost card you can play two of in one turn.

This post came 2 expansions too late. Yeah, we have a bunch of decent 5 drops now.
The argument you could make is that the CLASSIC set has no good 2 or 5 drops for many classes and we 100% depend on expansions for them.
