Opponent casted frost nova on my minions. I cast silent on my bittertide hydra initially want to prevent damaging my hero, turns out it unfreeze my hydra as well and got to hit opponent's face for lethal.

Minions stay frozen because they constantly scream.
when u move ur cursor ( ur mouse ) to a minion .. everything added on him can be silenced for example ( when ur mouse is on a 1/6 Northshire Cleric buffed by Kabal Talonpriest the 3+HP will added beneath Northshire Cleric ..

Yes, of course it will unfreeze the minion as silence is just a status effect like +2 HP, or Divine Shield and Silence removes all status effects from a minion.

Just recently I figured that silence can remove text from minions, but I didn't make a thread about it because I wanted to be the only one with that knowledge.
Well, I figured out that you cannot reroll the same Totem again with Totemic Call months after I started playing Hearthstone when I played Shaman for the first time in Jan this year.
