If they keep the same strategy expansion - adventure - expansion - .... Next content should be an adventure but I read some where Blizzard want two expansions a year, starting next year so next will be an expansion?
Are we gonna have two expansions back to back ? Asking because not sure if I should start saving gold now or just continue buying MSoG packs
Probably gonna blow money for next content anyway.
I'm saving gold starting this week toward whatever it is. If it's an adventure I can just pick it up for free with just gold, otherwise it'll be a good chunk toward the new expansion without having to dip into my gaming funds too hard.
Read many posts here telling that the plan for any year from 2016 will be: Expansion - Adventure - Expansion
If next release is an Adventure, meta will shrink like hell. Just look at all those Reno/Dragon decks being hurt by the rotation... I don't think an Adventure can create that much of diversity to fill all those gaps, so I hope for an Expansion, despite having the risk of not getting the right stuff to keep up, while in an Adventure you get all the good stuff. But that's why I'm starting to stockpile gold and dust right now.
I havent seen any official statement saying that they are breaking the rotation.
As far as it breaking decks, when the first year started we lost Naxx which had a huge impact on the game even tho it was an adventure along with GvG so I wouldnt be surprised if they did it again.
(...) I ask for more class cards 9 is just not enough! And i think they will go big with perhaps even a new class.
Don't expect that. They already stated they are planning to never do it. And it would bring even more complexity to the game design/balance.
Adding classes is not one more thing to balance. Adding classes will bring a challenging exponential growth in card design complexity. It can even backfire. If now we already have top tier and bottom tier (even near unplayable) classes, a new class can bring even bigger class gaps.

Financially, It makes more sense for Blizzard to ship 2 expansions a year. Each adventure is as cheap as $25 while they can sell an expansion for $50 plus. In term of quality they ain't much different anyway.TGT was full of filler cards while Nax/LoE blew everything out of the water .
I can see they're changing pattern and probably will announce it in February/march to prevent community backlash because MSoG was released not so long ago and HS is kind of a shit show right now(see Reddit)
It will be expansion which is sucks for us who enjoy PVE content or/and those that are F2P, or/and those that like when the ladder change each week, but business is business, Blizzard will earn more money with the expansion, adventure, expansion cycle.
Between the release of the game in March 2013 and the introduction of game formats in spring 2016, Hearthstone saw an alternating pattern of adventures and expansions. However, with Standard format in mind, the developers now plan to have a new expansion at both the start and end of each year, with an adventure somewhere in between.
This.
Also note that the first expansion brings with it the Rotation. Thus along with the next expansion we'll have the dropping of BRM/TGT/LOE cards from standard.

Reddit is a playground for people to .... on peoples parades and just be full of negativity regardless if something is good or not. I just avoid that site in general.

I think most people prefer expansions though. Yeah an PvE is nice and all, but most people only care about cards.
Another question is how F2P players can even catchup if Blizzard planning on releasing 2 exp & 1 adv each year?
if you do all your dailies, you easily get enough gold to buy a full adventure and at least 60 packs of each new expansion.
Actually, we're gonna have 2 expansions back to back from end of the year -> start of new year. 60 packs would get you most basic decks but stop kidding yourself, who want to play 1-3 decks for straight 4 months? And those decks are just aggro/midrange-ish. Most fun cards are legendary/epic.
I don't mind spending $ but when the new content outpaces what I am willing to spend, it becomes something else.

So you want to be f2p Burt be able to play every deck imaginable? Give me a break you spoiled snowflake brat.
60 packs is plenty for msg, anyway. Unless you piss away all your dust crafting every stupid fotm.

And most legendary/epics cards in an expansion are crap so it's fine to avoid them.
You use thesystem I posted in my "f2P players" thread to mke sure you get 60 packs every expansion, and that'll net you about 1-3 legendaries. From there, then save your dust wait for the hype to settle and the tier lists stabilize. After that, you should have some dust to get the legendaries you want, especially if you have been running arena in between saving periods. Do that and you'll have the cards you need for the decks you want to do. You aren't exactly dumping 7 legendaries into the same deck these days, even among control decks.
If you are behind, it's messier, but on the good side, as rotations kick in the cards you missed stop becoming an issue so you'll catch up if you focus on future expansions an Classic.

Correct, and it's a smart schedule by Blizzard, knowing they'll rotate out a huge group of cards in the spring with the newest release.
As far as F2P players go, it's a grind. It always was. Sure, it's more of a grind for brand new players as there is so much more content now, but suck it up. Over time you WILL get ahead if you are a decent player and can get decent rewards from the arena. Any chance at truly being F2P requires arena play with an average over 4. I don't think there's really ever been a F2P model here that didn't include arena runs to bolster the card collection and gold/dust totals.
i find the best balance being saving all my gold and dust for expansions and buying the adventures with money. Buying adventures with gold isnt as efficient as spending money. Spending gold on packs is very close to being 1 to 1. But, yes, this game was never meant to truly be F2P. They do, however, have a very, very fair business model. Very accessible.
Even for new players, if you enter game and spend $50 on the core set like you were buying a new game, and you have set yourself up for success. After a couple months you should be able to build a couple tier 1 decks especially around rotation.

They're gonna change the pattern. From now one, every year we'll have:
Spring Expansion (March-April)
Summer adventure (July-August)
Winter Expansion (November-December)
So next content will be an expansion.

I really hope it is an adventure.. It is much cheaper on Gold and you get ALL the cards.
With an expansion you only get few legendaries (if you are lucky), the rest you have to craft.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
