So I have reached Legend once with Zoolock as it was the only deck I could afford. I think it was 2nd or 3rd season after Old Gods got released. Since then I have always been aiming for rank 5 each season as I couldn't be bothered with it anymore. So I'd like to know you guys opinion about this topic.
everyone just hit legend just for the stupid cardback and never reaach it again, so dumb!!! just to show it to begginers ass retards in casual!! the real deal and challenge is to hit legend with a unique or more challenging deck with your own adaptations! i happyjust reach rank 4 or 3 every season having fun reather than just climb with a aggro brokeback face like a retard!!!
Same, legend once, now just 5 every season. I got legend with freeze mage but nowadays I play whatever I feel like playing (I've just played a lot of yogg & load for example).
The reason I don't really go for legend anymore is because it feels pointless and I hate grinding. The only reason behind grinding I could see is wanting to qualify for tournaments or something and I'd hate having to grind every month.
I will probably hit legend someday again, maybe several times, all it takes is for a fun deck to become strong that doesn't get boring after a couple of ranks. As I said, I've played Savjz's yogg&load hunter to rank 4 because I love the deck, but I didn't manage to take it any further than that. Maybe because I'm not good enough, maybe because the deck is probably tier 3 or lower, maybe because Savjz made it pre-LoE. I honestly don't know. But I didn't mind ''grinding'' with it because I loved it.
Btw, I loved freeze mage too, grinding with it was just boring.
However, I am about to make a N'Zoth pally so who knows I might enjoy that deck a lot.
It does get way easier after the first time though. The first time you're like ''Wow rank 2 I'm so close'' and every time you queue you try to focus and are nervous. The second time I imagine it'd be like ''meh''
Very similar to my case. I was always an arena player more than anything, but the 2 times I decided to go for it, I reached legend. I just can't put myself to do it very often because it's a hell of a grind, so I usually just stop at rank 5. But now it's been a while and I find myself at rank 2 without really pushing for legend (I just want to get level 60 with the last class I need, which is Hunter). Who knows, maybe this will be my third, though I don't really care as I did the first time. But maybe I will need to switch to a tier 1 deck, midrange Hunter is a nice deck but too inconsistent.
Blizz has to stop this grinding from rank 5 to legend like hell I already did reach legend once and am aiming it now again (currently at rank 1). Hell man I am grinding since 10 Full days, I guess even more, probably 4-6 hours a day, to get from rank 5 to legend while I hit rank 5 in a bunch of hours lol. This ain't normal. Guess I won't go for legend anytime soon again and will concentrate on getting those golden hero portraits again
I got legend a couple months after I started as a f2p player. After that, I couldn't care less. I get rank 5 every time now that there's an actual incentive to get rank, but before that I didn't even care about that. I could probably get legend again if I cared (got rank 5 this month in like 4-5 days) but after that it's just fun decks and arena for me.
Just once, rank 5 is enough for me now. Unless you're a competitive player who want to keep up your performance, the rewards doesn't compensate the time and effort you put in.
Hit legend once, and that was enough. I really just needed to know that I could do it as a personal accomplishment thing. It was very difficult and time consuming to hit legend, but also very satisfying. Did it with a tier 2 deck at the time. Now it's just trying to have fun experimenting with decks.

I will stick to arena and never look back

Feel free to PM me for help or advice.
Never again will I put myself through that grind.

The grind from 5 to legend is bad and tedious design. Unless you re competing i wouldn't ever do it again.

Just remember the good times!

I hit legend once when classic with warrior, will never do it again since i have family and job.
Yea, i like grinding the ladder and trying to beat everyone else :D
Not that I'm able to get very high up once i reach legend.... :/
