I finally did it!! Made legend plaing my own home brew decks!! My biggest obstacle was discouragement and getting triggered from playing too long when losing. This time around I would stop if I lost 3 in a row, and come back the next day.
It worked!!! I didnt defeat myself and cruised to Legend!!
Heres the list I made it with....its 1 or 3 version I made as I climbed from Diamond 5 to Legend!!!
Im gonna blow my own horn 1 more time cuz I can. After 4 yrs playing I finally made Legend. Funny thing about is that it was mostly mental that stopped me from doing it before this. I would lose some games, get tilted and start building and playing all sorts of madness, and end up back as the Rank 5 gatekeeper. Every month I would get Rank 5 in days, then go back and forth from Rank 1 to 5 , 1 to 5, etc....
This time around, when I would lose 3 in a row I would stop for the day and come back fresh. Then I also stayed with the deck I made and didnt start switching all the time.
I also think I made a good read on the meta at the moment by choosing to build a Galakrond Warrior deck. It does really well in alot of matchups and theres lots of room for different tech choices/cards depending on what your facing.
Anyways Im quite content to finally do it on my terms and would like to encourage anyone else trying to get Legend to give this a shot.
Calling Galakrond warrior a home brew may be a bit of a stretch however, even with some 4 cards switched out from more standard variations. At least in that case I have also been home brewing all these years when I thought I was net decking!
Any Galakrond Warrior right now is actually a home brew. The deck doesn't really exist in the meta, you can't find a deck played on HSReplay, so if you want to play Gala Warrior you kind of have to build it on your own.
Well, it depends. I try to save most of my face dmg till after hes used both Plot Twist, that way alot of his healing is gone. Only have to worry about the 2 spells for healing after Plot Twist. So, then u just pressuure them down for the win before they combo u down. Its kind of a race at that point.
Its probably one of the worst matchups for us. But thats my strategy.

If you build a deck yourself, even if only a few cards are different, its still your version.
This all I do when I play HS. Find ways to build decks that arent popular or common, to try and counter the meta. I find it a way more rewarding experience.
So yes, if you have been making decks with 4 cards or so changes, then thats a home brew deck. With only 30 cards in a deck, it doenst take too much to personalize a deck.
I think its fine to make changes like your suggestions. I used 3 versions as I refined my list and tried different Ideas. I even got beat by a guy using dbl Korkron etc.....
He crushed my on turn 7 with this list here.......### Wabbajack's Warrior # Class: Warrior # Format: Standard # Year of the Phoenix # # 2x (1) Imprisoned Gan'arg # 2x (2) Ritual Chopper # 2x (2) Battle Rage # 2x (3) Bonechewer Raider # 2x (3) Bomb Wrangler # 1x (3) Bloodsworn Mercenary # 2x (3) Awaken! # 2x (4) Scion of Ruin # 2x (4) Restless Mummy # 2x (4) Kor'kron Elite # 1x (4) Kargath Bladefist # 2x (4) Devoted Maniac # 2x (5) Shield of Galakrond # 2x (5) Ruststeed Raider # 1x (6) Kronx Dragonhoof # 1x (7) Galakrond, the Unbreakable # 2x (7) Bloodboil Brute # AAECAZfDAwTcqQPjtAO+uQPFwAMNHJADn6ED2K0D2q0D/q4Dqq8D0q8Dq7YDvLkDnLsDnrsD3L4DAA== # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone # Find this deck on https://hsreplay.net/replay/dD9eRsw5UfJHvifauF2B4R

Gratz, indeed Warrior is fun to play right now, I am running Grand Lackey Erkh, along with Livewire Lance, and I'm having a Blast.
Thx alot! I like your idea!! Good luck on ladder!
What do you think of these changes??
- 1 Devoted Maniac
-1 Ruststeed
+ 2 Korkron Elites
How does it do vs Plot Twist Warlock? That is easily the deck I hate losing to the most
Congrats on legend :)
