Lando Longshot is my newest creation and his class is called Explosive Expert. What does this mean? Well, you all know the cards mad and madder bomber; this is an extension of them. The class is based around mechs and controlling RNG, which makes it not only a interesting class, but also a very fun one. It also introduces a new mechanic, but I will get around to that later in the post.
Controlling RNG? Yes. The class got a lot of cards that deals random damage on the board, and also cards that utilizes the damage taken; it would be close to the synergy of whirldwind+acolyte of pain, for example.
The class changes the meta a lot, and it feels unique. How? -1/+1 for mechs. Class card that is possible to aquire for other players will have different statlines (This took so much thought to balance). The different statlines means that when other players aquire the card through discover/deathrattle/etc it will be a different card. Trust me, there is no fun in having a Pocket Factory on your side of the field.
But enough talk, here are the most important cards to the class:
What makes these cards good for Explosive Expert? Pocket Factory got 0 attack, and that means it just gets the healthbonus. Be careful who you are buffing though. Clockwerk Gnome got a 1/1 body with the class. This is a hungry-dragon buff, and a Dr. Boom nerf.
Core Mechanic: Attack Last
What is Attack Last? Attack last forces a minion to wait for the other card to deal their damage first, and then they attack. What is the gain? Bigger health, giving more potential to trade minions. (If the minion dies before it gets to attack it doesn't deal damage)
Using RNG to your advantage:
For the class you need to be able to soak up some damage, and cards in the class are built to punish the enemy when you hit yourself. Did I mention that Combat Droid is out of BGH range?
Legendaries:
Did you hit yourself or your own Clockwerk Gnome, how about forgetting that damage, and try again? If you get both these badboys out you can get some great fireworks!
The deck is the ultimate high risk, high reward deck. Here are some cards that sets the tempo for your game:
3 Possible damage? For 1 mana? What value!! Oh, this card can hit itself, giving you 0 value. That is a 100% chance to destroy itself as a turn 1 drop. How is this good? Well, the value lies in all the procs you can get, and hey, if you are lucky you can kill both a 1 health minion and a 2 health minon, for 1 mana!
Spells & Secrets:
Here are some neutral cards that synergies great with the class:
I hope you enjoyed my class and the custom cards. If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM.
