So I've spent a while thinking of some good ideas for expansions to the Hearthstone CCG, and I decided a good theme would be the official expansions of World of Warcraft. Basically, this thread will contain five expansions to Hearthstone, all based on the five official expansions from World of Warcraft. This means you'll see an expansion for The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, and Warlords of Draenor. My goal is to keep the cards lore-friendly and realistic, so that these cards resemble something you would see in-game. Since this is a big project, I won't be doing it alone, that's where you come in! I would love for you guys to submit your cards to help with this big project, and don't worry - you'll get all the credit for your submissions. We will work on one expansion at a single time, moving on to the next when the first has been completed. The following list shows what we still need. Expansion card amounts are determined by using Goblins vs Gnomes numbers as a guide. The expansions will not be as large as GvG, considering the fact that we have five expansions to go through, although I may make them larger depending on participation. Doomfire Destroyer: A minion found in Sunwell Plateau.
Unstable Manafiend: A mana thingy. X is your unused mana crystals.
Maiev Shadowsong: She's in that cage in Shadowmon Valley >.>
Shadowsword Guardian: A minion also found in SW.

Example: The enemy minion is banished. You have a Death's Bite equipped. You attack face. Deathrattle triggers. It deals 3 damage to the banished minion and 1 to all other minions.
Fire Elemental's battlecry will deal 5 damage to a banished target. etc,.
Somewhat the same with the Freeze mechanic.. same duration, can be silenced, won't stack on the same target, but the duration will be lengthened etc.

Just want to ask if it would be okay for me to update the art on some of those cards, I think I've found some good art that could replace the screenshots used for those cards. The art I was thinking of changing would be the art for the Unstable Manafiend and Doomfire Destroyer, the rest look great. Just wanted to make sure it was okay with you first, you'll still get the credit of course.

Love the legendary and the concept for Banish, just wondering if we could maybe make the Banish effect a little bit simpler? It seems slightly complex for Hearthstone, but it's a really good concept. I accept your submissions! Just let me know what you think of simplifying the Banish effect:)
I like the idea of a late-game oriented Hunter card, and the random beasts is a good idea. If it's at all possible to add without making the card text too long, do you think it'd be a good idea to add: "Costs (1) Less for Each Friendly Minion on the Battlefield", so that it costs less to fill up your board if it already has some minions on it? Let me know what you think.
Assemble the Legion: This card is a lot like Soul of the Forest. Except worse in that it's more expensive and only works on certain minions. I mean, I guess there's Muster for Battle and Quartermaster synergy, but this card just seems crappy to me.
Danath Trollbane: Turns your hero power into Consecration and gain 2 armor. Shield Block can be comboed with beefed up Flamestrike that leaves a tough body and draws a card. Why??? No, just...
Doom Lord Kazzak: Seems a bit on the strong side. I'd probably make it about a 5/7.
Felblood of the Throne: Could also do with some slightly nerfed stats imo. Make it a 4/6 or something. Also doesn't really feel like a Warlock card to me. (Refilling Mana seems like very much a Druid thing. But that's just me.)
Shattered Hand Rager: Again, just slightly too well statted, imo. A 4-mana body that equips what is basically a 3.5 mana weapon and has an Enrage effect which is hard to value. Overall, I'd say either bump it up to 8 mana or make it a 4/4.
TL;DR: Assemble the Legion is underpowered as heck, Danath is overpowered as heck, everything else is probably slightly too good.

@Vultrae Do you have any particular theme in mind for this expansion, beyond it just being based on BC? Like, Naxx expanded on Deathrattles, GvG introduced Mech synergy, and BRM introduced Dragon synergy, as well as cards that interacted with minions dying on the board (Volcanic Lumberer, Dragon's Breath, Volcanic Drake) and taking/surviving bits of damage (Imp Gang Boss, Grim Patron, Axe Flinger). I was just wondering if you had some big gameplay-based vision in mind for this expansion (or any other future ones).
The problems with Assemble the Legion as you currently have it are that it's slow, expensive, doesn't provide enough benefit, and only gets value if you have a board full of recruits. I think it could be made better by making it cheaper and more proactive. Maybe something like:
3 mana spell - Until the start of your next turn, give all friendly minions "Whenever this minion takes damage, summon a 1/1 Silver Hand Recruit".
Basically turns all your minions into temporary Imp Gang Bosses, but with Quartermaster synergy in place of Demon synergy. This way, the card is more proactive and easier to get value out of.

Of course! Change all you like :) if you want to update the stats on a card you can also do that.. I don't think I'm that great at balancing

As for the silence, I guess it only removes the Deathrattle and the etherealness, since it's almost like a Battlecry, only in your hand, really.
