Hey everyone. I've often that that Maev Shadowsong deserved her own card, so I went ahead and made one:
I tried to play off of her "Hunt" theme, and thought the text was appropriate. She's basically a Ravenholdt Assassin with 2 less health for 1 less mana, with a Corruption mechanic.
She went through several initial renditions, including ones combining poison/stealth/divine shield and others with text reading, "At the end of your turn, choose an enemy minion. At the start of your next turn, destroy it."
I would love to hear your feedback, as this is the first time I've tried something like this. Thanks!
I like it. Powerful but not terribly oppressive. I think it would be better at seven mana for the sake of variety in that mana slot, and so that it doesn't have to compete with all the other 6 drops.
I think 6/2 would be better. 7 is just pushing it a little in terms of a creature they can't do shit about before it gets to attack, barring random AoE damage. That, or keep the stats the same and make the minion it kills random.
The way I see it, a decent 6 drop with stealth would have a combination of 12 stats, with the battlecry having the same value as a corruption for 1 mana cost. That leaves 10 stats to be divided up. There are quite a few ways to play around the battlecry, and she's still an "okay" 6 drop on an empty board.
Her thematic is that she does not stay on the battlefield long, hence the lower health and inability to trade favorably with small minions, but she can take out almost any target from stealth before departing the battlefield.

Should be a 6/2 for such a battlecry with stealth. or 5/3
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.
