Another class card from me. Idea is a very sturdy taunt minion that is hard to punch through (though obviously susceptible to Silence, The Black Knight, and the Cabal Shadow Priest). Also, in the case of odd amounts of damage the minion takes the additional damage - thus if 3 damage is inflicted then the minion takes 2 and hero takes 1. Obviously, too much to put on a card to clarify that in the card text.
I think it's a cool idea, but something that damages you by existing might not be the best idea paired with a class that spends life for it's power. Kinda means you're gonna be able to use one or the other, 'cause both at once is going to be too big a hit to the ol' face. That and it has a way around it's own taunt built into it. Don't think it'd see much use.

Agreed. Its a tactical choice. But for a Warlock facing a stout board of enemy opponents it can buy them time and exhaust opponent minion moves.
Massively overpriced. It's basically Deathlord with a different drawback (admittedly, one that's less of a pain.) I wouldn't pay more than 4 for this minion, pretty much ever.

I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.

Except it's often advantage and not drawback. Your board will be protected as if you had 16-health taunt.
Not sure how to price well though. I think 5 would be better. 2 attack is too meh.

Mogu'shan Warden is a 1/7 Taunt that costs 4 mana. This minion is a 2/8 that has an ability that makes it effectively a 16 health minion. I think the 6 mana cost is well-balanced. Also, the Deathlord has a negative value Deathrattle that brings his mana cost down.
Except it's not 'effectively a 16-health minion,' because the primary purpose of Taunt -- keeping damage off of your face -- isn't happening. I mean, yes, I see the advantage of having a creature that will deal 2 damage to the creatures that are half-facepunching you, but seriously, your opponents are dropping Piloted Sky Golems and Savannah Highmanes and Fire Elementals, and you're saying this stands up to the likes of them?

True, but Mogu'shan Warden doesn't see much play either. Construct of Souls seems to me one of those cards that's balanced in stats but not so much in practice. Control or mid-range minions aren't going to kill themselves on 2-attack and punch through it fairly quickly, and it's too expensive to be anti-aggro (and even 2 attack then is a little weak). It might be good to defend your board but those tend to be better in aggro decks (and again this is too late).
I like the idea though. And it is a card I could see Blizzard adding (especially given all the cards they added to reduce the drawback of the warlock's hero power).

If I've got minions I'm protecting the Construct of Souls becomes very valuable by absorbing opponent minion strikes. In any event, what mana cost would you propose for the card?

Half - how will it work with odd numbers? How will it work with overkill hits?
