Preview Phase (Starts Now! Ends 21:00 UTC 21/2/2019) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Final Phase (Starts 21:00 UTC 26/2/2019, Ends 21:00 UTC 27/2/2019) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
An example of what we're looking for: Inspire and "give C'Thun (X)" are expansion mechanics from two different Hearthstone Years.
He has seen the darkness light, and spreads the will of C'Thun. Nowadays he could encourage an Even C'Thun archetype.

Well, your card is incredibly weak. Most of cards with C'thun mechanic has almost vanilla stats, and Inspire can be even worse than battlecry sometiimes.

I'd make it a 6/6 or a 4/8. The Inspire won't do a thing unless you have 8 mana, and then you'd be spending 8 mana for a 4/4 and +2/+2 for your C'Thun. Given how decent the statlines are for other C'Thun cards, I'd follow suit with them and improve the stats. Having to use 2 mana to give your C'Thun +2/+2 isn't all that powerful.
As for my own card, this is my first thought for this one:
Thezzy Definitely better than Pterrordax Hatchling, but the Hatchling is a bad card so I'm not upset about it.
teknician Your cards are cool, but I don't like that they violate the timeline. Rush didn't exist in Un'Goro, nor Echo in WOG or GvG.
OttawaCloset We might get a Neutral spell one day, but it will most likely be a Legendary. Your card doesn't have a rarity gem, which is odd.
Demonxz95 I think Murloc makes more sense, although Adapt is a Beast thing. The "main character" is the Murloc riding the dinosaur.
Shatterstar1998 Jade Architect violates the timeline, which bothers me. I like Volrath the most because it encourages deck-building.
How's this for an update on my Converted Cleric? He costs more at an 8/4/8, but has an immediate impact via the Battlecry and the C'Thun buff is the strongest in the game at +3/+3.

why are vilebrood skitterer and venomizer examples? poisonous has existed since vanilla, it just wasn't a keyword.
Because....reasons? They were provided to me as examples, and I didn't second-guess them #ShiftTheBlame
In the interest of leniency, we'll leave it be. Just focus on Poisonous the Keyword, not "destroy any minion damaged by this minion" the mechanic :P
Edit: Poisonous is technically not the same as it used to be: Poisonous the Keyword allows for non-minions to have the destructive effect. If you're willing to let me split hairs, it is this difference that could make Poisonous acceptable.

Well I'll just put it in fuckin rumble of the rasta man then
That works :P
I'm hard-pressed to say which one is my favorite; probably Thunderize:
Thunderize is a cool card, it adds some new dimensions to the Shaman, and I like art. Even Shaman is a concern, although I think the cost is fine.
I like Tentancle Hatch because I have a soft-spot for C'Thun...as one could guess based on my own card lel
I like Tinker because I love Mechs, even though you wouldn't have to use the two together. If it was a Rogue card I would like it even more, for the possible combo with Lilian Voss. Any attempt to make her viable; I don't know why I like her but I do.

The way I see it, Poisonous works because with it being changed to a keyword, effects like 'Give a minion Poisonous' are a little more plausible. If it read, 'Give a minion "Destroy any minion damaged by this minion"', that would work, but it might sound awkward to read. Poisonous being a keyword also allows it to expand its meaning as it can now be used on spells and weapons (and technically Hero Cards if you want to try that) without having to change the wording. It's now all the same.

I'm sorry.
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
Also, getting the really easy/obvious one out of the way...
I'd make it a 6/6 or a 4/8. The Inspire won't do a thing unless you have 8 mana, and then you'd be spending 8 mana for a 4/4 and +2/+2 for your C'Thun. As for my own card, this is my first thought for this one:
Thezzy that doesn't work because you have to say Adapt as part of a trigger keyword.
@ Cheese ... you should be.

Oh right, thanks, updated it:
As for your cards, Thunderize seems good, though Rush and Adapt are usually not Shaman keywords.
Tentacle Hatch seems good.
Neutral spell (one day we will actually get one)
Cecil got one. I'm getting the other really easy/obvious one out of the way.
I actually don't know if this would count as a Beast or Murloc. Probably couldn't be both though.
