On 7/23/2017, I released a set called "Azeroth Untold". When I made that set, I didn't really realize how strong some cards could be. Back when I made the set, I had come up with a number of concepts that Blizzard hadn't really released until somewhat recently, with the past 2-3 sets. A few weeks after I had released the set, Knights of the Frozen Throne had come out, and it had me worried because The Lich King would be released, and I had created a Lich Queen Sylvanas. Something that had me react strongly was really thinking about how strong the card below is. I know that a few others have probably had a similar version or the exact version of this card at least as an idea, but just now, I'm realizing I had created Shudderwock in 2017. We didn't have the cards we have now in 2017, so I'm wondering if the timing of this would have been better or worse than it is now.
Also, would you prefer this version over the current version? I'm wondering how some of my older designs would come across now when people look at them, considering it's been a few meta since they saw release.
This card is stronger than shudderwock. Since it is minions you summoned, you could recruit minions or generate them in some other way and it would still trigger their battlecry. Imagine not needing to draw or play chain gang or lifedrinker. Just run guild recruiter and he will pull it straight out of your deck
So, a humblebrag that Shudderwock was "your" idea?
No, I just felt this could create conversation on card design, and that I didn't really know how strong something like this could be until after Shudderwock was released, and even asking if people favor this version or the Shudderwock version. Then again, the set I made this for, just about every card is stupid strong on purpose.

Yeah. With this having been made before Saronite Chain Gang and Guild Recruiter, I had no idea this card could get as bad as originally thought.
When you're so narcissistic that you convince yourself you made blizzard's card.
It's not like that, though. I did release the set before Knights of the Frozen Throne. There have been cards made by people who don't work for Blizzard that Blizzard eventually releases that design or a similar one with a set. Not trying to say I'm better than Blizzard or that it's my design, but bringing to light a design that's really strong, asking if the timing of this card would have been good before Knights of the Frozen Throne was released, and also asking if the design is favored over Shudderwock. This is a discussion and a sort of funny apology.

Balance in my opinion is fine. The card can't really do that many typical shudderwock things unless it was in shaman who already has access to the thing itself. However, I'm not forgiving you for that art, absolutely disgusting. not to mention that comment about my dog. wtf man.
The card also has nothing on Shudderwock seeing how he (she, it? I dunno) is a national treasure considering his voice lines. No matter how much I lose to that card, I still love the reference so much.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

this card would have a larger impact on the meta because it is neutral, but card for card, i think its less disruptive then shudderwock.
JMAP94. The best way to love the artist is to love the art.
Riveting. Tell us another story.
Ok!
I accept your apology.

He clearly time stamped.
Not really sure why this is "awful".

Also, Blizzard's version, or at least making it a class leg is fine. The joke is you.

Yeah, I was thinking so myself. Back then, Saronite Chain Gang wasn't even out, so I had no idea that Blizzard could potentially break this card.
This one time, I told a bear a really short story that had no details. The end.

I love it. 10 mana cards should be strong. I just didn't think we'd get to a point where an older card becomes almost completely broken with time.
No.

That really was awful
I think we, as a community, need to work on becoming more cordial and focus less on correcting others we perceive as self-centered
P.S. I love Genn, Werewolf Hunter
