Just beat it, first try :P - I am playing mage, I had a lot of burn.
EZ
i.e. I was pretty passive, at first I cleared his board, then when I saw, that the secrets don't trigger from my spells and my played minions, I just burned him down (I had the +3 spell damage passive, the 1 mana steal 3 cards, passive for the card draw and a lot of good cards)
I'm currently by theking. I'm facing the 4 mana 20/20
Hello i made a couple reddit posts about this so i'll help ya out too. Basically you dont do anything all game. All you do is end turn. It's deck only has secrets so you can just fatigue it to death. Remember that this is a dungeon theme, so if you DONT TOUCH ANYTHING, you get out alive.
As long as your rng is decent and non of his first 5 secrets procts on hero power or playing a minion ( to counter the ocasional minion he does drop, 7/7 destroy all minons or mage 3/3 self buff +2/2 if you have a secret, or 1/2 neutral that buffs when secrets are played), you'll be 5 cards ahead of fatigue.

Yeah, it is a long match where you don't make a move until you have all the answers in your hand. It takes a lot of work to empty the Trap Room's hand, so it might be higher success rate just to let him run out of cards.
just do .. nothing.. he doesn't do anything except playing secrets if you do nothing his secrets won't trigger so just pass, unless he plays the 3/3 that grows and you must react.. but generally just waiting is very effective.
You can't always just sit back, it has Ethereal Arcanist it's deck. So you need to hold on to some kind of hard removal in the mul. Then either have two or hope nothing triggers on the spell play.

that's actually thematic.. makes sense XD didn't notice the warning first time I got destroyed, but from second time he got trivial, just do nothing till you have to.
you got lucky, the secret i got are counterspell, spell bender, the hutner secret that deal 4 damamge to summon unit, then it just fuck me all up, plus i am priest so i dont have good board clear
i had the most ridiculous mage deck ever: it was a Reno deck (my only duplicate was an Azure Drake) and I had Archmage Antonidas, Animated Armor and an Antique Healbot. once I played Reno, I played the Armor and he couldn't kill me since I had the double health perk (healed a lot from Reno) and passive Stealth (couldn't do anything about my Animated Armor)
This boss has recently been re-tuned so that you can’t just do nothing and win, unfortunately. I think that was a much more thematically pleasing version of the deck, but oh well. Now it’ll drop the usual secret-associated minions like Secretkeeper and the etheral guy, plus a unique 7/7 with the effect that if it survives damage, it wipes the board (basically a triggered Doomsayer with a scary attack). I found that as long as you have a decent understanding of each class’ secrets, and you just check with each one in mind (for instance, if it has a bunch of Hunter secrets, hit face with your least important minion; and if it has Mage secrets, throw out a low-priority spell first to test Counterspell) you’ll be fine. Remember to order well; pop as many secrets as you can before wiping the board with the 7/7 guy or a board clear spell. As long as you make good trades and run his hand dry, this shouldn’t be too difficult of a fight.

Sooo, it has not changed then ? This boss has ALWAYS had the secretkeepers, ethereal, and 7/7 guys in its deck. To win by doing nothing, you need (and has always needed) to have the luck of Trap Room not drawing any of its (few) minions in its first 10 cards. Or manage to clear, and THEN do nothing.

if you dont have any removal for his 3/3 that growth +2/+2 par turn you're dead....

This space is intentionally blank.
